Round Earthers Let Their Presumption of Round Earth Science Bias Their Understanding of Reality...

If you look at the earth, expecting to see roundness, everything will look round to you. The horizon (which is demonstrably Flat) will look curved. You will put your faith in every computer generated image of space that gets produced by NASA Movie Studios. You assume the earth is round, and interpret all physical evidence on the basis of that assumption. When you step back and take a hard look at reality, uninformed by your biases, reality suddenly becomes free, and anything is possible so long as your senses can confirm it.

Ok but why though give me a reason to believe this. Because you don't have any real points as to why NASA would want to lie in the first place.

Flat-Earthers - "Round Earthers believe anything that is told to them. So gullible and quick to believe nonsense." Also Flat-Earthers - "gravity doesn't exist because my senses said so"

      • You know, there are so many ways to prove that the Earth is round, and Flat-Earthers just ignore all of them.

      • If the Earth is flat and the sun is like a spotlight how did I see the eclipse on the 31st? I was talking to people where it was their day time. How was the sun spotlight shining on them while also making the Earth cast a shadow on the moon?

        • So round Earth is just a presumption but flat Earth is fact? Which there is no evidence of the Earth being flat but there is plenty of footage of a round Earth. Well if round Earthers are supposed to open their minds to possibility of a flat earth, shouldn't it then be the same for the flat Earthers, which you're showing a complete disregard for. If the Earth is flat why is Australia called down under, shouldn't it be called on the edge?
checkmate
• Sits at desk with a face down picture "I am going to show you a drawing of a circle." Flips over paper to reveal a drawing of a square "What do you see? Did the fact that you were expecting to see a circle make this image appear to be round?" "Now I am going to show you a circle that is so big that you can't see the whole thing at once." Shows tiny segment line drawing with a slight curve, that, if completed, would create a circle one hundred miles in circumference "Can you tell if this segment is a straight line or a curve? I'll provide tools and equations in order for you to examine and calculate whether this segment is a straight line or has curvature." Repeats exercise with ever-increasing circles, sometimes stating that a square will be revealed, sometimes stating that a circle will be revealed, each tine making available everything needed to verify if the statement is congruent with the image Summary: Not believing everything you are told, and verifying facts for yourself = good for you. That's awesome. Having tools and equations that are scalable, being able to test and measure data, and then refusing to believe the data to be true because you have already made up your mind = biased and inaccurate conclusions. So believe what you want based on the data you collect, or just follow what you're told and be blissfully ignorant. There are plenty of people who believe the earth is round based on only what others tell them and show them without going to the lengths of measuring, calculating, and deducing for themselves. So flat earthers, I applaud your efforts, and agree with the sentiment that you should not readily accept what you're told as fact without evidence. But the Earth. Is. Round. It doesn't merely look round because we are presupposed to that perception. Below I am going to provide 4 lines, equal length, connected to make a squiggly shape, two points at the bottom that connect the right and left pairs, with one point in the middle to connect the middle pair: L Does your presupposition of my description of that character make it look as if I typed a W? Or does it look more like two lines connected at one point to form a right angle? People can see what they want to see, sure. But too many people go too far and assert they see a W when they are really looking at an L.
