2017 was a great year for indie devs and underdog games. When you got shit like PUBG, Doki Doki, and Fortnite coming out, you can tell it’s been good.
Plus we all got to spit in Activision’s, Bungie’s, and EA’s collective faces; which was pretty nice.

I wouldn’t call Epic an indie developer, even if - yes - they self-publish titles. But so does Ubisoft and EA.

Hence why I said underdog games. Fortnite was relatively under the radar.
