Forget this generation. 2002 wins by a country mile.
Warcraft III, Kingdom Hearts, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Morrowind, Timesplitters 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Metroid Prime, Sly Cooper, Super Mario Sunshine, 007: Nightfire, Wind Waker...
The AAA games of today's generation just aren't as endearing as the true classics.

Aye tis was a good year indeed

Apparently 1998 was also incredible. Titles I’m aware launched that year include Ocarina of Time, Half-Life, and Grim Fandango. There’s probably half a dozen other huge titles from that year too. Starcraft?

Edited by sfeermeneer: 1/24/2018 1:37:10 PMTrue classics are games like mega man (2) , super mario bros (3) , the legend of zelda to name a few examples( in my opinion) . Super metroid , sonic and a couple of others from the 16 and 32/64 bit era also qualify in my opinion . But my opinion probably differs from yours because of an age difference . You do have a lot of quality games in your list though .

Nope. I'm 26. I played Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, and lots of the older 8-bit/16-bit games too. And they're classics as well, just like the games I mentioned. I just don't look at past game generations with too much bias.
