(NOT SPOOKY) STORIES VOL. 5

...that i need to refocus on my funny posts. Spooky stories was where it was at, but all i have been doing is running the war. sooooooo..... here is a paper i had to write for school.
PROBLEM It’s no secret; our toy sales have been down. This means that our revenue is also down. Kids these days don’t want to play with physical toys anymore. They want to play video games. THE SOLUTION: We have a solution. Due research conducted by our Science and Technology devision (Sci/Tech), we found that if we add addictive chemicals to the exteriors of the toys, kids will want to play with them more frequently. We found that kids who play with our addictive treated toys are 68% more likely to play with our toy within two hours of putting it down. Concurrently they are 77% more likely to play with the toy multiple times a week. We found additionally that if we treat the toys with a slowly evaporating addictive formula they are 99% more likely to buy our toys again when the scent wears off, providing a renewable source of income. Additionally, adding a pleasant scent to the toys gives a 10% towards the chances of our toys getting played with. We also found that parents are 20% more likely to buy toys rather than video games, and generally associate their success in parenting with the amount of time their kids spend not playing video games. We also found that parents are 20% more likely to buy toys rather than video games, and generally associate their success in parenting with the amount of time their kids spend not playing video games. COST/BENEFIT ANALISYS OF THE SOLUTION: COST- It will cost us upwards of $6.2 million to research and produce the chemical compounds necessary for the formula. In order for us to break even on our investment we have to have a 200% increase in sales in the next four years. We have come up with ways of mitigating this issue and some of them are listed below. 1. Increase to cost by $2. 2. Cancel the unpopular “Boy Barbie” line. 3. Send production overseas. PREFERED PLAN TO MITIGATE COST: It is my belief that an increase in price is the best option. While it may seem ludicrous to increase price when we could cancel the Boy Barbie line, having that line makes us a popular company with the social elite who have recently been pushing the ‘Boys can be Girls’ and vice/versa campaign. Canceling that line would give us too much bad publicity and we would still have to increase the prices by $1 just to maintain current profit margins. On the note of sending the production overseas, people really like the fact that we are an American made brand. Moving the production overseas, while it would save money, moving production would not be conducive to our brand and image. Overall, increasing the price might actually make us niche, and if consumer trends are worth anything, it might make us more popular. How many children have we seen decked out it $30 shirt or a $40 pair of shoes? We already know that parents, specifically millennial parents are ready and willing to shell out a huge amount of cash to make their children seem ‘In’. BENEFITS After we break even, our cost of production per toy will return to our current prices. This means that we will have an additional $2.00 boost to our profit margins. SUMMARY If we follow this plan, we are almost assured a slam-dunk in our sales. Research has proved that the toys will catch hold among most of our customers and provide a steady stream of income for the foreseeable future
