It still annoys me that people blamed the timer for anything. There was nothing wrong with the timer.

Other than forcing one style of play. If you must, tell me I’m doing it wrong and your team always has enough time. Go on.

Edited by SierraAstaelion: 1/18/2018 2:18:48 PMIt’s a valid point, but I think what timer -likers are saying is that it’s better than the wipe system. Bottom line a lot of us hate the wipe reset, but a lot of us hate the timer... If a scoring system is the middle ground to replace both, then great! If it’s a return to the old wipe system a lot of the people who like the time-friendly aspects of D2 will just be disappointed. In literally every post I make, the one thing I request is that D2 not go backwards to D1 systems. Replace systems in D2 that aren’t working, absolutely, but reverting to D1 is actually opposite the time-friendly vision in D2 that drew back a lot of players who hated D1’s abusive grind. Look like I’ve said, I have a 50+ hour a week job and a family that I love more than any game (duh)— but that doesn’t mean I just want a casual experience (like arcade games). I love depth and RPGs, but I need depth in play sessions of an hour or less— and the more I can get in during that time the better! Nightfalls that took an hour to complete because I had to start from the beginning if a teammate wiped in an impossible to revive spot— and if our team was really off that night not completing it at all— that’s just punishing to the working man. And it wasn’t fun, so it played a major role (on top of A LOT of other problems) in why I quit D1. Again, I admit they didn’t literally say D1’s wipe was coming back— but there’s a smell on the wind, and a strong sense in the community that this is exactly what’s coming. I’m voicing a hope that there’s a balanced middle ground to settle it instead of a return to the old ways.
