As a guy who owns the Prepare to Die edition on PC with visual mods to make it look better and mods that fix a lot of it's issues I see absolutely no reason to pay for another one.
I'll give Bethesda it's due when it gave PC users the Skyrim Enhanced Edition for free if you owned it all because they knew we had no reason to pay for it again.
I'll stick to buying new games, don't need to buy ones I already own.

They’re adding in ds3 matchmaking, the password system, 6 player multiplayer, and dedicated servers

That would be a fantastic free update but not something i'd pay for when everything else is exactly the same.
