You are aware that the live team is specifically set up to be reactive, correct? Chris Barrett doesn't own a DeLorean and can travel back in time at 88mph to stop Luke Smith and Jon Wisniewski from making terrible decisions. He also doesn't have the authority to pull the plug on Eververse. This is obviously a compromise he made with his bosses to keep them placated and still give back to the player base as much as the live team is allowed. The list of changes is a good start to fixing a long list of terrible problems. What they posted in the update were things that they had fixes for, be them actual or still on paper. Some of the issues are deep rooted and shy of releasing another full game won't be possible to fix.

 • Exactly. I’m also reasonable certain that most (if not all) compiler tools lack a —tardis flag, so they can’t just start months of coding and still schedule it to all be built by next (or last...) week. Would it be better if they didn’t have these issues to fix? Hells, yes! But they do. And they are. (Or at least I am optimistic enough to give them a chance and see how things pan out over the course of the year)

 • Yes exactly! Sometimes I think that various people on here don’t actually realise that anyone that talks to us from bungie might not actually have any major authority over aspects like eververse... or that perhaps if deej is told by his boss to say things like “we’re listening and have several new things in the works” then he’s gonna say it. Sure some of what was said this time could have been a bit shit but at least we know we’re getting some fun put back in the game and that steps are being taken to move towards fixing the actual issues. Eververse is tiny compared to other shit wrong with it.
