It’s not about it bring p2W. It’s about 109 items being locked behind a paywall in the last month. The amount of glamour gear / accessories / new armor sets that aren’t reskins that are actually earnable through gameplay is shockingly low, and the amount in the Eververse store is shockingly high. If you put half of those items in the actual game as rewards for strikes/pvp/raids/lost sectors/patrol chests, etc... you would have a much deeper endgame. The base game is barren and Tess’s shelves are stuffed to the brim.

  • You can earn this stuff through game play. I will have a full armor set for my warlock next week and I have not spent a dime.

  • "Can" doesn't mean they "will" get it. Especially with this Dawning event. You can only get 1 Dawning Engram per character a week. The daily Dawning Gifts don't have all of those items in its loot pool; only a few of the ships, sparrows, shaders, ghosts, and transmat effects. Not even the good ones either. So, if you're trying to get one of the emotes or the armor sets, or any of the other items not included in the daily gifts, and you don't get them from those 1-3 weekly engrams before the event's over, you're SOL, and will have to wait until next year to try again, unless you pay for more engrams now, or Bungie decides to keep the Dawning Engrams in Eververse after the event ends. It's a bullshit system.

  • You could buy the armor each week with bright dust. Dust you earn by breaking down stuff from bright engrams. Yes, you can earn it each week by playing the game. Obviously you have no clue what you are doing. The rest of the crap she is selling i don’t want and don’t care if I get it.

  • No, you cannot. You might have a slight chance to earn them, but all I got were a couple shaders and a ship for the solid week plus I put into Dawning. If you want all the dawning armor, good luck, because you won't get it before the event is over. That's the problem. Unless you BUY it, you won't be guaranteed to get what you want. That's the problem.

  • Like I said I will have a full set by the end of event from using bright dust to buy it. I earned the bright dust by breaking down eververse stuff. So i did not buy anything. Apparently you have no idea what your doing.

  • Nah I only use bright dust I get from items. Never spent a dime on mtx and never will. If I miss out next season oh well. It's a VIDEOGAME! Nobody gives a shit what I have in a videogame.

  • Cool. That’s 5/109 pieces earned and it only took you 2 weeks? You are 4.5% of the way there!

  • I only want the armor. The rest is just more bright dust to save for the next event.

  • There are only a few items worth having. Who's gonna try to collect every legendary sparrow, ship, or ghost? I dismantle every legendary item Tess gives me. I have every exotic emote, every exotic sparrow, all but 1 exotic ornament, 3 exotic ghosts, most of the exotic ships, 3 full sets of Optimacy armour, 2 full sets of Omega Mechanos armour, and come reset my hunter will have a full set of Dawning gear. How much silver have I bought? None.

  • Yeah, forget adding worthwhile endgame rewards, or expanding the mod system. I want somewhere to store my 24 legendary sparrows. Lol.

  • The “I have all the stuff I want therefore the system must be fair” argument is incredibly flawed. I hope you understand that. For every person like you that got lucky and got the stuff they wanted (and played 210 hours) there’s 5 that didn’t hit jackpots on their limited slot machine pulls. Those players, which are the majority, are rightfully upset.

  • Do you people not understand Tess was selling a piece of armor each week thus enabling you to purchase with bright dust. Dust I earned by breaking down Tess stuff I don’t want to begin with.

You're only limited by how often you play, unlike D1, where you were limited to 3 treasure boxes a week. Didn't hit the jackpot? Oh, well. Break down the loot you don't want and put the bright dust toward something you do.

You realistically get 9 slot machine pulls per week since after your “well rested” buff wears off, the amount of playtime required for a slot machine pull is pretty ridiculous. Fact of the matter is that the overwhelming majority of players a) weren’t as lucky as you on your slot pulls and/or b) don’t have the means to invest the time you did. I know when you’re in your own bubble it’s easy to think that because you’ve obtained everything you wanted that everyone else is doing it too, but you’re in the extreme minority. There’s a reason there’s a riot on the forums now about Eververse. Most people are realizing the odds of obtaining the cool glamour gear are heavily stacked against the player unless they throw real money in Bungie’s casino. You got lucky and/or play a lot more than most players are over, enough to overcome the stacked odds.

  • So now your saying rng is unfair. So if all this loot was in endgame activities everyone would be able to earn 109 pieces of loot. Lol dis you play D1. I spent a lot of time chasing gear I never got.

  • You can buy a piece each week with bright dust. You know that right? I will have the helmet next week. No rng needed and no silver purchased.

  •
You realistically get 9 slot machine pulls per week since after your “well rested” buff wears off, the amount of playtime required for a slot machine pull is pretty ridiculous.
Oh, look. Another lie. Even with the doubled XP target, you earn bright engrams far quicker than when XP was scaled. People that play a few hours a week should't expect to collect everything.
