Before you hurt yourself or have an aneurysm or something... https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/7jiiip/masterworks_how_to_find_stat_boosts_and/ here's the details, of what you can get rolled. But hey, at least youve had two masterwork weapons and able to reroll... I have yet to get a single masterwork to use or scrap into a core.

  • I am starting to get the suspicion that you can only have a fixed masterwork perk on certain weapons. I rerolled my Nameless Midnight twice now, and got "a more predictable recoil pattern" every time. So that list on reddit my have been compiled looking at various guns' masterwork perks, giving the false impression you could get every perk listed for e.g. a scout rifle on every scout rifle. Seriously, Bungie? SERIOUSLY? Oh, go F*CK YOURSELVES!

What does that have to do with my post? I rerolled a Better Devils and a Nameless Midnight, and there are several available perks for each of them. Spending hard earned masterwork cores just to reroll a perk you don't want is a slap in the face of the players. Regarding your not having gotten any masterwork: I have written another post about that. It is an insane grind to get enough Masterwork cores to infuse or reroll. I literally played until my butt hurt from sitting so much and so long to get enough. I am not going to torment myself anymore though with this piece of work software that in the end is an exceptionally bad and limited game the only questionable merit of which is to make players believe playing the same boring limited activities hundreds of time to grind items would account for "content". I am having two masterwork weapons now I would only use to play in a game I am totally fed up with because it is so incredibly small, limited and repetitive a treadmill. You will not understand my anger when looking at my isolated post. You need to look at the big picture of 3 years of Bungie blatantly lieing to the Destiny 1 community and slowly nerfing the game to hell and cranking the grind up; A trend which continues in Destiny 2. Btw, if I wanted to hurt somebody, it would be the responsible persons at Bungie and not myself. However, neither this game nor these people would be worth ruining my life by such actions.

It's not D1. It sucks that the game play was taken from you and other D1 fans, but you know this game is more tailored to casual play. It should be played casually or else this fiasco happens... I only really see handling or reload speed as useful on the scout rifles. Sucks that you got stability, but come on dude... You've made a rage post basically saying "i grinded my fun away from the game, and am upset at RNG for being RNG". You could have always spent the next (x) months/weeks to get what you want rather than expect it in a day of hardcore play. We have plenty of time before the next DLC, there is no need to rush... . Hope the rest of your day gets better :\ Best of luck with what ever it is you decide to do instead of D2 now. As to the question "what does that have to do with my post".. I linked it there, because a lot of people are mis-informed on masterworks, the link provides a decent explanation imo. Was unsure if that was the case for you, so just posted it.

How is having to play your a$$ off to get something "casual"? That's the exact opposite of casual. Your interpretation of my post is wrong. And please remember that my initial post was not about the grind, but about rerolling giving you the exact same perk again you wanted to get rid of. A reroll that is rather expensive in terms of time spent in the game to get the required resources. What is so hard to understand about "remove the current perk of a weapon from the pool of possibly rerolled perks"? This is so simple already that I wouldn't know how to explain it simpler to make you understand. The least thing the reroll feature should do is to not give me the perk again that I already have! From a programmer's view that is some insanely bad software design because either the idiots who did it created the simplest possible code, which just means assign a number from 0 to X to each possible perk of a given weapon and roll a number between 0 and X, which ofc means that the same perk can come up again, or they intentionally did it that way, which would be even worse because it means they are laughing in your face and tell you "ha ha you can have the same shit perk you want to get rid of forever and grind yourself to death to get another one". Eithe way it is just asinine. Basically this means they are extending the grind, and again: How is that casual? It is not. Point is: I don't want to have to grind my a$$ off for this. I accept some reasonable effort, but right now, Bungie is clearly steering Destiny 2 away from this. The result is that casual players will exactly not or rarely get the "high value" stuff in Destiny 2 anymore, which means that instead of walking away from it happily and with good memories because the game rewarded them, they will go away angry and disappointed because they hardly ever got that stuff. The game I will go back to from Destiny 2 is World of Tanks, btw. It has a lot of grind, but in World of Tanks I do not even notice because (almost) every battle is fun and rewarding to play in itself. The reward in the way of getting a stronger tank just comes as a welcome addition. I even just bought a mid tier tank again because it is a hell of a lot of fun to play.

I said that you shouldn't play your ass off to get this shit. Because that is how you get sick of destiny 2. You CANT grind like in D1, you will be gone in a couple of weeks if you do. D2 is not a game to play like D1, which is what you are currently doing. All I said was, you should stop sinking hours upon hours a day into rerolling this shit. To take the game more casually, to NOT grind your ass off. -blam!-. Look at your characters, a 333, another 333 and a 328. You have PLENTY of time before the next DLC. Dial it down a notch. Space out this grind, so that you aren't fully masterworked and 335 on 3 characters by two weeks from now.... because then wtf do you have left to do?
And please remember that my initial post was not about the grind, but about rerolling giving you the exact same perk again you wanted to get rid of. What is so hard to understand about "remove the current perk of a weapon from the pool of possibly rerolled perks"?
Nothing. I agree about that. It's poor by design to RE-roll a trait.... into the same trait. I never said anything against that point. Please note, that burning the fun out of a game by turning it into a chore... burns the fun out of a game.
Basically this means they are extending the grind, and again: How is that casual? It is not.
Well, the grind that YOU are doing is not casual. I suggest, that you maybe try space your gameplay of D2 over its lifespan, so that you aren't maxed on 3 characters 1 month after each DLC by doing this D1 fashion grind for a multitude of hours. I understand that it sucks that D1 is no more, and that D2 just can't live up to what D1 had become. That really does suck, because it's obvious that you want a game that you can play for hours upon hours like D1. But D2 is not the "same". It just isn't. You can't do this grind that you are doing because look at how much "fun" you seem to be having with the game in this post. Hopefully this clarifies what I mean by my previous posts.
