Nightfall Timers and just Timers in general.

So while me and my friends can knock out the Nightfalls and other events with ease, I noticed that other people in my clan cannot. I have 2 members with handicaps with their hands. This causes them to have to play a bit more slowly. Even though they are good players they just can't move on the battlefield as quickly as others. Is there anyway we can get the timers removed from the Nightfalls and focus on other mechanics to make it challenging? I feel that the whole timer thing has not promoted a fun playing experience since it was implemented back in D1. Also, I feel that such a change would bring more people into playing the Nightfalls and other events if they could do so at their own pace. Just a thought.

  • I don't mind timers as a modifier, aka once in a while, but I agree they are no fun and just a diluted way of upping difficulty. In my experience, playing 'tactically' (slower) to avoid wipe mechanics, element burns, heavily shielded and hyper aggressive enemies is the way to go. Do away with the timer always on mechanic.

  • Do I agree? Yes, but only to an extent. I like nightfall timers as it is supposed to be challenging, but I do agree they need to change it so there is a timer for each section and not just one big timer. I only agree with this because y2 nightfalls were easy in D1 because they took away the death mechanic (which I like, but made nightfalls too slow for some), but failed to add another feature that made them hard. other timers like enrage timers in raids are cool, and force you to actually fight the boss instead of playing safe. I don't agree with other timers though, such as timed heroic adventures.

  • I prefer the timers. It makes the nightfall harder imo.

    • Don’t think it’s that bad but it should be just a passive timer like 30-45 min with different perks kinda like the first one. Just miss trying to solo the nightfall but right now there’s no way. . . Screw the rat king too way to hard for a non-useful weapon anyway.

    • I support the timer on regular Nightfall. With it having lower tiered enemies it's a solid enough way to give an otherwise easy activity some challenge. However I 100% endorse it's removal from Prestige. Instead I'd like to see the following: *Increased kinetic and energy ammo drops and decreased heavy ammo drops. (This helps prevent sitting back and sniping the whole time.) *Random modifiers. 2 or 3 of them. *Revive tokens like the Raid. *If your whole fireteam wipes you start the Strike over. Don't kick to orbit, just reload the strike from the start point.

    • Yea, timers suck. Nightfall timers yea fine but the timed heroic adventure is lame. Why would someone play story mode just to rush it. I play story mode alone for a change sometimes and a real challenge(meaning not entirely unrealistic but still hard) would be cool.
