Alright, so the big update is here, and it never fails its on a day I'm extremely busy. Anyways, figured I'd throw my two-cents in since everyone else has been. [u][b]My Likes:[/b][/u] [i]The notification system[/i]- I'm already in love with how its working, and it goes so well with the new system, otherwise it might be fairly frustrating finding your way back to a thread to check if someone had replied to you. [i]The tag system[/i]- Though I'm not sure I'd say I like it better than separate forums for each subject, I definitely can see it being more useful. I like the idea of the community being all in one giant pool, and the fact that it will eliminate any siding with certain boards... that was one of the most annoying parts of the site before in my opinion. [i]The new front page for groups[/i]- THANK YOU. I'm so glad the pinning of threads actually means something now, this will be so useful =)... one of my favorite things I've found! [u][b]My Dislikes:[/b][/u] [i]Avatars[/i]- The current size of the avatars beside users posts is too small I feel. It makes users feel more distant if you ask me, because you don't see the big symbol that represents the user. [i]No title bars[/i]- Of course. Now, I'm not upset or anything, but I'm surprised they're completely gone. The title bars, though they added that sense of elitism around here, also added a sense of fun around the community. I'm not saying there isn't a sense of fun otherwise, but that was just one more addition. I'd love to see something new though, with that same sense of fun, come into play. But the complete lack of the title system just takes away from the community if you ask me. [i]Group forums[/i]- Some of our oldest threads in [url=http://www.bungie.net/en-us/View/community/Groups/Detail?groupId=13082]Dead Mans Hand[/url] have kind of been lost with the new forum system it seems. Anything that wasn't pinned but was constantly kept up at the top of the forum just by posts is somewhere in the archives, and you can only go one page at a time as far as I can tell... thats fairly annoying =/ All in all though, it is a HUGE change, and I love taking the jump into this new site. I look forward to the tweaks and changes to come as always, but for a "beta", I'm very impressed! Good work webteam!
