WE PAY THEIR SALARY. The work they do pays their salary. You are a consumer with an overinflated ego. And I am going to say this as simply as possible. Development takes time. And revisions take time because changing one thing can break everything. Show me an example where you in your actual life accomplished something to perfection that couldn’t get improved with revision or that someone else may have a differing opinion than the quality of the work than you. People are flawed. They make mistakes. Doesn’t mean they can’t make things better. But the high and mighty ripped off victim speak makes you come across as soft as the dickens. Hopefully you are young and have not matured to the level needed to exist because if you have anything more than a decade or 2 on the planet than your parents should be completely ashamed that they taught you absolutely nothing about how the world actually works.

  • The work they do pays their salary because we as consumers, egos aside, purchase their product. It has nothing to do with how you or I may feel about it.

Satisfying shareholders and making profit is priority one. Satisfying ALL customers is impossible. Satisfying the majority of customers is somewhat achievable, and they have done that. You are VERY ignorant.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK. And how do you think they make a profit?!?! Magic? SALES. DLC. IN-GAME PURCHASES. MERCHANDISE. They have partnerships and agreements and contracts with major companies. But those are two-way streets - their main source of intake is from us as consumers and repeat customers. How do you even think it works man? Use your brain.

You think Bungie gets to do whatever they want with the profits they make? Are you serious? You think the people who ACTUALLY MAKE THE GAME, create the content, have ALLLLLLLLLLL those profits to make whatever game they want? Keep thinking youre correct when everyone knows YOU, in particular, are absolutely wrong.

I'm saying we pay this company and the people who run in, so let's start acting like it.

You don’t understand business it seems. Do you know that the average salary in Seattle is like 77 thousand? And that is base pay rate for developers. Doesn’t count benefits for all the employees and operating expenses which are a lot more than you think. Then you have the money needed for support and general maintenance of things. The difference between profit and actual operating costs isn’t as wide as you think. I really could care less about the useless negging. You people do realize that actual stuff you should be pissed off about is happening outside? Just saying. No offense. Some people don’t know any better.

Some people don’t know any better.
You don't understand a metaphor it seems. But you just proved my point; if operating costs are relatively equal to profits, then wouldn't you say our precious dollars are quite an integral part of the whole, y'know, being a business thing?!? Not that I want to lecture you on how business works, that'd be quite an "inflated ego" move, right? But yeah I'm pretty sure the getting of the customer's money thingy is a pretty important thingy to getty... But what do I know right? Maybe I need a few more decades eh?? Operating a business is a very expensive endeavour and often the numbers get skewed and lost in communication. Thanks for that revelation in business analytics there champ. Your Nobel Prize is on its way in the mail. Smh Buddy comes in here saying I've got an over inflated ego... Yikes. All I'm saying is that it's OUR responsibility as consumers to push back and give criticism where its due. Speak up! It's important to not give in to softies like you who feel like they need to back up a massive company like Bungie or Activision when they so utterly don't need it or even want it. We're all just consumers to a company like Bungie or Activision, so BE RESPONSIBLE, and start acting like it. Don't be taken advantage of so easily.
And honestly man how dare you come on to a video game forum and say that bullshit about how "our real problems are outside". You think you know me, you presumptuous douchebag? You have NO idea what ANYONE does IRL around here. Not to mention it's an embarrassingly obvious straw man argument. Pathetic. By now you've quite clearly exposed your true level of intellect. Get out of the ring, bud. You can't put up a proper fight. But hey...

some people just don't know any better right?
• the entire project for destiny was funded in advance. your purchase was a piss in the ocean. and would only go to possible profits. you paid nothing to make this game with your sale. millionaires or large companies did it.

So you think that 3 years after LAUNCH they're still operating on that original budget? The original budget that is now 5-6 years old?? You think that if it's a tough quarter and sales aren't as projected that they get to renew everyone's contract? Or keep everyone employed?? Hey maybe if it's a really good year they can wave a bigger cheque in front of some hardcore devs or management... It's not rocket science, bud. Like honestly, you come on here saying grow up and this is bull and that's bull. Just stop to think about it for more than one nanosecond. One purchase is a drop in the bucket, sure. But without our widespread support, this franchise will suffer, AND SO WILL ITS CREATORS. If a coffee shop can't compete with Starbucks selling a lot of pumpkin spice lattes, do you think the chances increase or decrease for keeping that seasonal hire they brought on? The $60 I spent on Destiny doesn't go directly into some random dev's bank account. But our support keeps the game, and thus their JOBS, afloat.

That was unnecessarily long winded and I’m not gonna waste the time reading it so I skimmed it. You offer nothing but criticism without actual feedback. You scream that your dollars matter when while I do agree they do to an extent it seems they people assume non publicized action as inaction. I choose to wait and see because I spend less money than I would have typically spent in one night when I was making far less money. It’s not an investment to me. It’s a leisure product. Equating unnecessary negging to actual problems we should worry about is wholly relevant to any topic. It all impacts. But I guess you are not old enough to truly see the things from others perspectives. Next time don’t use spoiler tags. If you have something to say. Don’t hide it.
