If you use the ever verse set you can get a maxed out mobility of 10. And I main a warlock and using the strafe jump( I think that’s what it is I can check) I feel I go much faster

  • Yea but at the same time that eververse set pretty much ONLY give mobility like I’m pretty sure they all give either 3 or 2 mobility. Warlocks aren’t to the point where they can have ten recovery and that but I can definitely see why you would want better recovery options for those classes

okay, but I shouldn't have to spend money/fish for drops just to have passable mobility. A Hunter at level 1 with just the starting jump is more mobile than a Warlock and I think there's a serious problem with that... cash shop only items are not a fix. If I really want maxed mobility I can just use Mida Multi-tool, but I shouldn't be gated by gear just to have a passable mobility experience. I'm okay with running slower/moving slower in the air, mostly I just don't understand why Warlock's vertical mobility is so... garbage.

Fyi mobility does not increase sprint speed or class jumps- only your initial normal jump. Glide/lift/blink/double/triple jumps are not effected by mobility.

yes, but because Warlock glide just preserves your initial vertical momentum rather than giving you additional height (like double jump/lift), your normal jump heavily effects how far/high you can get with Warlock glide. I don't necessarily LIKE that, but that's what my experiments have lead me to believe.

  • You wouldn’t need a full set of it. Maybe one or two pieces and then some other possibly mobile armor. (I don’t know about you but I have a full set without spending my monies)

The point is that "stack 10 mobility" won't fix the fact that Warlocks have no method to gain vertical momentum once they leave the ground. Like I said, I've used Mida Multi-tool to gain mobility but that forces me into a Scout Rifle/SMG setup which I don't really favor (and locks me out from Merciless in my Power slot which is v. useful in a lot of content, especially in The Leviathan.) And even having Mida, my vertical mobility is still garbage. If it at least fixed my main issue that would be one thing, but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Warlock is basically incapable of controlling their vertical momentum once they leave the ground.

  • I don’t know if you continue to get boost from Mida if you have max mobility. But in activities like the raid I have no problem jumping around and doing the different parts. For gauntlet when I’m running I don’t even land on the ground next to the rings after it’s fallen down, I jump way beforehand and glide all the way from the ground through the ring and then land on the ground on the other side

I'm perfectly capable of completing the gauntlet - but if you take an orb from the top row in the third gate (which is followed directly by a giant pit), unless you actually land in the gate, step down to the ground, and then re-jump and maintain that vertical momentum, you glide slowly off the edge to your death. what you're talking about is actually impossible on this particular gate. There are other instances where warlock glide feels like a huge detriment (trying to manage the prism weapons in Pleasure Gardens while jumping around on top of slanted platforms for example) because if you slide off the edge you're literally -blam!-ed - there's no possible way for you to gain even the slightest amount of vertical momentum to get back up on the platform. I just don't particularly understand why the tradeoff for "good utility/recovery" has to be "garbage mobility". Titans also bring a lot of utility and they don't have awful aerial mobility?

  • I haven’t gone too far into the Titan and hunter classes so I’ve never really gotten used to the other classes and I don’t think I’ve ever done the raid or anything like that on them. So I don’t really have a good grasp on the other jumps. I personally have never had a problem with vertical mobility. I’ve always been able to make jumps on time and now with the vault option that wasn’t in D1 it’s even better for me at least

Just make a level 1 Hunter, and inside the tutorial swap to triple jump. It's actually absurd how superior their mobility is. You can do the same thing with Titan - unlike Warlock, rather than preserving the vertical momentum they already have, both classes gain vertical momentum from activating their space bar movement option. It makes all the platforming in the game feel like cake after putting in enough time to hit 300 light with Warlock - it honestly felt like a huge slap in the face that certain platforming segments I worked hard on/died multiple times trying to find a path that worked can be COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY ignored by a Hunter/Titan - most shocking to me was finding that Hunter can actually completely avoid almost every single platforming instance on Titan by just putting their jumps in the right place - whereas Warlock has to slowly jump from platform to platform. I understand if they didn't want Warlocks to be zipping around like crazy in the air (especially with Dawnblade), but their mobility just feels awful in comparison to the other classes.
