Live team saved D1, I'd say yeah
At the same time they kinda killed crucible fun with the special ammo problem

Some where happy about those changes, some were not. Still, at least something happened.

Nah man, after a week no one was happy with being almost forced to use side arm or icebreaker. This is why I talk about compromise. Either reduce ammo that drops from special crates each pick up(HALF) or when you die instead of losing all ammo lose HALF. This compromise would have led to reduced special usage while still making all weapons viable. Sidearms and icebreaker just negated the change and almost forced a particular play style. Not a good change objectively.

Sorry to hear that man. Usually, I ran MIDA and stuck to long range engagements so I don't have to deal with sidearms. Against Icebreaker users, I just avoid that engagement unless the team could focus the sniper. You're right on how people were forced to play a particular setup.

It just sucks because when I do get special I switch to sniping even if it’s not the right time so that I can get a chance to use it. I played plenty with sidearms and I don’t hate them at all it’s just not as satisfying as a sniper and I don’t want to be forced to play with them. Plan C was my fav special weapon but it’s almost useless now. You need to run that as a backup and with no ammo in it most of the time why not just use a sidearm Where you are guaranteed to have special on spawn. I just want bungie to recognize these things before they make them permanent. They need to have an outside team that play tests for them. Then d2 wouldn’t have launched the way it is. If you look at Halo5 viddoc for pvp they worked with pro players frequently in order to deliver a fun game. This could’ve been done with the streaming community to play test casual for fun and comp for fairness. It’s clear the devs themselves don’t play extensively, hence the ammo changes and ridiculous nerfs to an already bad bladedancer earlier this year. Not to mention nerfs on handcannons across all archetypes instead of just the long range ones.
Yes. It's nice that they listen, but they have to actually sense it themselves on whether something is needed to be changed or not. It is a method to not only promote streamers and content creators, but also to provide constructive and solid feedback from the people who play the game almost everyday and those people who make videos out of PvP or PvE content on a daily basis.
At the same time they kinda killed crucible fun with the special ammo problem
This so much. It was actually fun to have a decent amount of special ammo around. After it was gone it killed my enjoyment in the Crucible.

However, the special ammo forces you to play differently. You either have to equip side arm to always make sure you have ammo or sit and wait on special ammo then feel like you HAVE to use it so it’s not wasted when you die. Instead of switching back and forth like you should. I always thought they could’ve just given us less ammo from boxes or make it so you lose half but not all upon death. This is what worries me with bungie, they always go way overboard on the nerds instead of Meeting in the middle.

Live Team doesn't balance Crucible. Crucible team does.
-
So what you’re saying is get a new crucible team 🤔
-
Yes. Preferably one that believes in balancing PvE and PvP separately. 👍
Yes. Preferably one that believes in balancing PvE and PvP separately. 👍
I would like guardians to feel like Y1 in Pve and feel like Y2 I’m pvp lol
