*AND HIS TEAM
So everyone remember Chris? That emo dude with nice shoes from House of Wolves and then Rise of Iron. Well, basically, in my opinion, he was one of the developers that started to make D1 a better game. House of Wolves was (again in my opinion) the start of the turning point for the fundamental changes D1 would go through, for the better. Sir Barrett blesses us once again. All hail the king.
New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits.
Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities.
Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors.
Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018).
Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules.
Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games).
Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards.
Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.
Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication.
New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards).
An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.
There's more we're working on. We'll talk again soon.

And still not a word about how little your power level actually means.
-
looks like it's time to start farming in light of economy changes...
-
So when does the pve side of this roll out? I’ll give it another chance. The majority of the game is still bullshit with armor perks being trash everything is re skinned and no random weapon rolls.
-
One person is not responsible for all the praise nor hate....
-
As long as it isn't paid, I'm game.

Hallelujah 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Learn this phrase, it will help you in life Actions speak louder than words

Like I said to EVERYONE complaining: "just be patient, the PC version isn't even out yet. Give them time." And THIS is exactly what I was talking about.
-
This was always gonna happen. They had to wait for the pc version to drop before announcing the updates. Not really fair for the pc folk to read that updates and changes are right round the corner before they even install the original game. We all just have to have a little patience. This game will be amazing in a couple of months time. (This is not a justifiable reason for releasing the vanilla game without the upcoming changes but hey ho that’s gaming these days)
-
A little early for the all hail topic isn't it? The proof of the pudding is in the eating afterall, let's wait and see how long we have to wait and how good these changes turn out to be first.
-
Your moronic worship of singular entities like one developer, and one youtuber is why you're getting so disappointed with this game
-
Thats great, really im not joking, but at this point after everything with bungie, its a wait ans see thing
-
Hmm, i wonder why all this is not in the game now? What could it be? What could possibly be the answer as to why all the stuff he listed is not in game now? Oh I know, to sell more dlc! He just got the hype train rolling again! Watch how many people bow down now and start telling everyone things are gonna get better! Not falling for it!
not anymore!!
-
Finally some good information and everyone just craps all over it, I'm no bungie fan boy but atleast give some credit where it's due.
-
Edited by ZeroEmerald: 10/27/2017 10:33:53 AMThe announced changes are exactly what we wanted! Not everything (Ship/sparrow kiosks please!), but a lot of the main complaints are being looked in to and i'm very happy. Thank you Chris & the live team for giving us renewed hope!

I had around 40 friends online today. 1 of them was playing d2 😂
-
Inserts “give that man a cookie” meme
-
Available with purchase of DLC
-
Hope they're not using him as a scapegoat and lining the fella up for a fall. Pinning a fix on a particular person never ends well. Especially if the fix flops. Bungie should be taking some corporate responsibility for this garbage.
-
All good ideas apart from exotic duplication. It took me months to get anywhere near having all exotics. Whereas on this game I’m already 3 away... If anything they should have made exotics harder to get. Purely because players would be more excited to have received one from the RNG devil
-
Hmmm Rise of iron was pretty sh#t though it was the starting point if no grind Some good things listed but increasing supremacy?? Really? Have they not been reading the forums
-
Why are you celebrating ? Do you have any information if the listed changes are going to be released to everyone or will it require a Paid DLC ? We have basically only a list on our hand thats all. There is no time table , no conditions etc.. Yes it is good at least Bungie started to communicate however even the improved communication method is not clear. I would salute them if all the listed changes will be released free of charge to all Destiny 2 player base. But from what i see , those will be delivered in a Paid DLC. Basically you'll be again forced to pay for things that suppose to be in the game already.
-
Yeah, this game sucks.
FIRE LUKE SMITH
-
Translation: We are going to bring back features we removed from D2 We are going to bring back loot from D1 We are going to build a different game, you are going to have to pay for it. We are going to add useless features like simultaneous emote equip. We are going to bring back weapon roles We are going to bring back weapon quests We are going to promise you that we are going to look at ways of improving this game. God where is that damn ASSHAT translator!?!?

these should have been in the game since LAUNCH

They did address a majority of the issues that currently plague the game, so that is good news. Now, there’s two problems that exist for them: 1. While they did address them, they were light on the details on how they will fix them. A lot of things need to have core, fundamental changes and they won’t be easy. Will they shortcut, half-ass, or at least do something that’s acceptable? Time will tell. 2. They are up against the clock. Destiny 2 is still bleeding players, and many of them risk not coming back. A lot of these changes do require a lot of time, and they need every bit they can get. But D2 in its current iteration is undesirable (once you get past a certain point). The main team dropped the ball hard. I don’t see many of these changes coming until 2018 the earliest, but they’re needed ASAP. Still, as cynical I’ve been lately, there is renewed hope that the game will get back on track. But if the Live Team can fix these issues in a satisfying way...whoo boy...
