I think it's more for the middle of the road player, not a casual, not a hardcore player, more of a regular player game. More for someone that's not going to rush through the game and try to get max level and end game content like a hardcore player and not a casual player that plays till they get bored or stuck and then doesn't come back or might come back for DLC. It's more for the regular player that takes there time with the content, plays weekly, (not everyday) and gets to the max level and end game gradually, comes back for DLC, and sticks with the game through it's life cycle. That's just my take on it, but who knows what their intent really is/was.

  • Probably something along that line, that and the release schedule prohibits rpg content so they went more standard fps. I'd say I'm casual no interest in raids or grind I just like alien genocide but D1 scratches that itch far better and its more fun doing it.
