I used to mock whiny players on this board and that they needed "safe spaces" in the game for them. Looks like Bungie took that literally. The whole game is one big "safe space".

Why would you not want people feeling comfortable playing your game? If your going to make a statement like that at least follow up with some logic. Otherwise it's baseless salt.
-
Sure, that's great if you want to play Mario Kart, but in competitive team oriented PvP? Get outta town.
-
When has Destiny actually been 'competitive'? Bungie wants the most people to be able to access their game. Not just an exclusive sweat club.
-
Then why did they create conditions for that mindset to thrive?
-
LoL. What 'conditions' are those? There's nothing about PVP now that says 'competitive' at all.
-
What? Are you kidding me? You think reducing space magic and removing special weapons was aimed at casuals? Trials of the Nine? I consider myself a casual solo player. This multiplayer was not designed for me.
-
I absolutely am a casual Solo player and I find the PVP way more inviting than D1. They didn't 'remove' space magic that's absurd. Changed things up and streamlined? Sure. Adjusted things so abilities can't be spammed as easily? Sure At eh same time re-working and refreshing some of the sub-classes and supers. I have no issue with what they've done in this regard. Moving 1HK weapons to power slot was to mitigate a HUGE balancing issue that was D1 PVP. It made it so people couldn't 'main' 1HK weapons and put the emphasis on gun fights.
-
I couldn't disagree more. Yeah, just what I wanted in a space magic game........less space magic. LOL. Not just that, but weaker space magic. What idiot thought it was a good idea to make me wait longer for a weak grenade in PvP? I could understand a shorter wait for a weak grenade or a longer wait for a strong one. But this just makes no freaking sense. I could talk all day about this myth about balance. I couldn't give a rats ass about balance, I care about fun. There was nothing wrong with spamming abilities. It was fun and everyone had access to them. Special weapons were fun. Nobody could get an advantage over another player with that system, so it was balanced in a way. I also got to feel like a powerful guardian not some weak ass wannabe Black Ops 3 Operator that I am now. Emphasis on gun fights? Explain to me how this better? It's boring a hell. My stats are better in this PVP and I stopped playing it more than week ago. It's one of the most mundane and uninspiring multiplayer that I have played in years. Call of Duty is more fun than this.

TLDR That's all your opinion.

Not fair. I read all of your original post. lol.

Pretty much, I hate pvp but D1 mayhem was actually fun. D1 pve is far more fun than 2
