Maybe you have an issue with commitment rather than the game not being "rewarding". I and many others have got to 300+ in 2-3 weeks without ever doing the raid. As a matter of fact I got to 300+ on my warlock and 305 on my titan without ever stepping foot in the raid, doing the nightfall or PvPing. It's not hard to do and takes nothing more than looking up strategies on how to do it. Seems this child has the same problem most children have these days, dont want to do the work to get rewarded, they just want everything to be handed to them without effort.

 • A) Did actually read my post. B) If you did I said it's my son who easily was playing 6+ hours a day.
Seems this child has the same problem most children have these days, dont want to do the work to get rewarded, they just want everything to be handed to them without effort.
That's quite an assumption and an insult to my kid frankly. He works harder for what he gets in game than anyone I know despite not doing 'endgame'. He simply wants to be rewarded for the level of activities he's doing and he doens't feel it matches. Way to assume. You're not worth my time conversing with if you are going to take that angle.

If you cant take honestly when it comes to your kids and instead become defensive then there's nothing I can add to this conversation other than your kid really shouldn't be playing 6+ hours of video games a day, especially if they are just going to cry their time is wasted when they are the one wasting their own time. Its impossible to both "work hard" and spend 6+ hours a day in a game and that time not be rewarding if you do your research and spend your time wisely. I've got 3 characters to 305 with only 1 of them ever doing "end-game" activities and I dont play 6 hours a day of video games

 • I actually have a teenage boy who also plays destiny and has never complained about his time being wasted. But then again he's happy to get to play video games as a reward after doing his after school activities, completing his homework, doing chores and just generally becoming a productive and self reliant person. Also because he researches the game or asks me if he can't find a straight answer for the info he looks up. To each their own.

 • That guys response was pretty dumb. But to be fair, you talked about your child on this forum. He's going to be insulted. You should know that.

 • The bigger point is that if I thought this was a problem with my kid I wouldn't have bothered to post it. Some people are to eager to throw out stereotypical conclusions rather than reading in to the context

 • I mean the context is....my kid doesn't think the game is rewarding enough without the endgame, because he hasn't done it.... But I'm also reading the major complaint of....i got everything so early, without doing endgame. Which would mean it's extremely rewarding. Until you have everything, right. So in this case....the game is very rewarding, and too rewarding, no? It's hard for me to tie different thoughts together sometimes. But this forum is impossible to understand. It's a big contradtion of opinions. All unified by, ya this game sucks

 •
...my kid doesn't think the game is rewarding enough without the endgame
That is completely not what I said at all. He's not saying (himself) that it's not rewarding without endgame. He accepts that because he doesn't do endgame that he has to grind more just as he did in D1. He's comparing the current reward 'system' to D1 (within the same context of how he plays) and finds it less rewarding.
But I'm also reading the major complaint of....i got everything so early, without doing endgame.
Where the hell did you read that? There's literally nothing about that in my post.

Pretty sure if I think the sequel to a comedy isnt as funny as the first one, and I don't like that about the sequel, I also think the sequel should have been funnier

 • You're specific take was:
my kid doesn't think the game is rewarding enough without the endgame
That quote is your words not mine. That statement implies that "without the endgame" he thinks it's not rewarding. That's not what he (or I) said. He thinks it's not rewarding in spite of not doing endgame. That a different meaning. Maybe I need to reword it but the part I mention in my OP about endgame was that he accepts that without doing endgame it will be a harder grind but it's still not rewarding enough.

 • I said your kid doesn't think the game is rewarding without the endgame. Meaning, excluding the endgame, the game isn't rewarding enough. We are saying the same thing. I just don't think your brain is working right now. I'm not even insulting you man. Not calling you dumb. My brain shuts off all the time. Hell maybe I'm crazy right now. But it looks to me like both those sentences say the same thing with different words. Now I gtg see if my brain is working hahaha
