Enemies are always above the light level recommended for an activity. When they kill you it should show recommended light which is probably like 310 or something for the enemy. Hard mode has always been above the light cap.

Hard mode has always been above the light cap.[/quote] The raid says it's level 300 which means enemies should cap at 300 for all fights preceding Calus. At Calus they should be 310 (or 10 above the listed level). This is the way it's always been but there is no way the enemies in prestige are 300 and it's a sh*t show and way too unforgiving. They need to be dialed back until the Calus fight. People can disagree all they want but this is definitely driving people away and the proof is in all the people on my friends list no longer playing the game.

That’s not guaranteed true for prestige. Consider that the 300 prestige nightfall has above 300 light enemies. The enemies for all stages up to calus could be up to 310 but are likely 305 as raids tend to have enemies be at max light until the final fight.
