CONFIRMED - Luke Smith reverses Static Roll decision - Random Perks Coming

Luke Smith isn't that bad after all. He must have been listening to all the outrage on b.net forums. Static Rolls are being removed and will replaced with Random Perks. Too bad Bungie aren't going to implement it until the first DLC drops.

 • How does 'Salmon Sunday' tag always get missed!? Anyway in all seriousness, or as much as I can muster right now, to go back to random rolls (on guns more so than armour) would be an enormous cop out. There should be a sh!t-ton more guns. And not reskins. It's an absolute tragedy they didn't use D2 to go to town on this. By having more guns in total you have that feeling again of coveting a rare-ish item, and therefore something to play for. The meagre palm-full of new designs recently shown (for IB and Trials) was incredibly underwhelming. Sure make them coveted behind a competition/grind and make them good rolls - but give the same respect and treatment to every other activity in the game! Yes I mean Lost Sectors, Adventures, even Public Events and for-the-love-of-all-things-sacred STRIKES should all have loads of guns and gear to go after. Nice ones. Fun ones. Different ones. I didnt originally intend to go on about Strikes as well, but the contempt D2 has for Strikes is insane. People still reminisce about landing a Gjallarhorn or some awesome scout rifle or whatever in Tiger playlist with randoms in D1. Where's those days gone? Missed opportunities everywhere.
