To be honest I think i've had my moneys worth. Expecting a game to have unlimited gameplay for a one off payment is a typical millenial attitude. Destiny 1 was at this exact stage of its life when people were complaining about content. And we hadnt had any Faction events, Iron Banner, Trials, or clan based activities. Ive enjoyed it. But ive faced the truth and moved onto another game, and ill be back for the DLC, just like many Guardians posting complaints in this forun.

  • Best response ever. I didn't bother playing it on console since its so inferior. I'll be playing through it nice and slowly as they improve the real problems and not the whinny nonsense that D1 millennial idiots talk about.

  • GTA 5, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout provided way more game time and content for the same price as this game. So I’m sorry to say, your argument is invalid.

  • For $60 I got thousand of hours outta Skyrim and Witcher 3. Why would I not hold other games to that expectation? If they can do it, any game developer can. I don’t buy this BS of “there’s enough there to satisfy”. No there isn’t enough, because New Horizon even gave me a ton of game play, more then Destiny. If THOSE game developers can do it, then so can any other.

  • D2 doesnt even have content issues though. It has incentive issues. And when all the competitors are offering deep, long lasting incentives its a reasonable expectation.

  • Why does everyone compare d1 launch to d2 launch. Did they have 3 years development before d1? No. Did they have 3 years of player feedback to base the game off of before d1? No. You might have gotten your money's worth but when I got my ps4 and ttk I paid 60 bucks and I got a years worth of content and that was after 1 year of this game and ttk was great sure it had some flaws and there wasn't a ton of content but there was still something to do things to grind for a reason to play d2 however was stale within 2 weeks. 2 weeks! That's pathetic. Not to mention the quality of weapons and tanked so hard. Let's just use 1 gun from the vanilla d1 raid shall we. The fatebringer one of the best guns to ever be added to destiny. It Is a set perk weapon no other possible roll drops on it. It has something nothing else in d2 has perk synergy. The perks are thought out and out together in a way that makes the gun great d2 every gun feels like a bad rng roll from d1 except they are stuck that way forever. And that was just 1 gun at a brand new launch for a game they had never made. Now we had crap and more crap and everything people loved about destiny removed. It feels like bungie tried to forget the last 3 years happened. For me it wasn't even worth trading in the game I did to get it. I'm so thankful I didn't pay money or preorder it. Or get the 100 buck version my friends did and where are they now? Not playing destiny.

Bruh 1 month and done is not enough for the expectations that they hyped us for, get me hooked add story with good story telling, everyone in the story so far is a cliche, they have good lore but for most of it i have to go outside the game, iron banner was a disaster all the wepons reskins, factions wepons reskins, raid fun but why do it if i can hit max light w/o doing it. Destiny is about grind and reward i get that but add flavor to the grind so it feels better for the reward, like a in depth compeling story.

  • You have no idea what you're talking about fool. We had the factions to grind for which was permanent. We had iron banner and the queens wrath by this point as well, and vault of glass. You're clearly a newbie trying to sound smart. You weren't around in d1 during this time. Piss off

  • What's your age? I feel like fall into millennial. You can't tell me in vanilla you put the game away after a month. I was playing daily (or at least wanting to) until TTK. I'm already done with D2.

  • I did definitely. There was nothing for me to do after the first month. Completed the raid once, had no other content to do besides replaying old things that weren't enjoyable on their own, and rewards at the time were slim to none compared to the time put in. It was pretty much the same as D2 right now: a game you only play at reset. The only real difference Is that 6 weeks into D1 I was still hopeful for the series. Then TDB came out and was terrible, and soon after xur sold the only exotic I really wanted. HOW came out then and was decent but the game was still plagued with several issues. And by TTK, bungie's business practices made sure I never purchased anything destiny related ever again.

  • You had every exotic weapon, completed every activity and got to max light after one month of D1? Bullshit.

  •
You had every exotic weapon, completed every activity and got to max light after one month of D1? Bullshit.
Completed every activity, yes. There wE so little content that it wasn't hard at all to do. Got to max level, no but I didn't really care to. There was little reason to do so aside from the raid, and being lvl 29 was fine for that. And got every exotic? I didn't want every exotic. The only exotic I even wanted was heart of the praxic fire, which I finally got after xur sold it, making all that time i put in grinding pointless towards my endeavor. There was nothing left to do short of replaying content, and I had no desire to do so in a game that doesn't know how to be a loot game.

  • Then you got your moneys worth. There were lots of weapons and gear that took me a very long time to get in D1. Maybe they strung you along with unpredictable rng in D1, but it made exotics and other weapons more rewarding when you finally got them. They made D2 way too easy, which is fine but I still feel like D1 was a better experience.
