Most, if not all of your points are correct, but the main problem is Bungie doesn't realize that they've made a terrible game (or they do and simply don't care), why? Because there's no media/critic backlash at all, like there was with D1.
Why is that? I really don't know, and it's just as baffling for me. They will never address any of these, as long as everyone is content with it and they make a profit.

Lack of a media backlash is probably due in no small part to the lack of a need to cover up other bullshit going on in the world. As for the 'critics' it is entirely likely that they got bribed / paid to write good reviews, or simply not write bad ones. As for everyone being content with it, that wouldn't matter to the kind of people that are running this company. All that matters to them is how much money goes into their pockets.
