Man I want to disagree with you, call you salty, and moved on, but I just can’t. I agree with your point 100%. I spent 9 months chasing after a decent Hopscotch Pilgrim and when I got it, it felt like it was worth every second of the grind.

  • As a Day 1, player I can relate to this, as I was one of the many silly people who thought a piece of exotic armor that I wore everyday was more valuable than a heavy weapon exotic. My son and I spent many, many months searching for that elusive Ghjallarhorn.

  • I was there with you on that search, but Mida was my elusive weapon.

  • I remember Halloween weekend the year D1 dropped. I took that Friday off in order to give out the candy. while my wife took our son Trick or Treating. That morning I scored my very first exotic weapon, the Plan C. God it was such a rush. The next day I scored the MIDA and on Sunday morning I scored the quest for Super Good Advice. So to me that was a huge weekend and I was so fricking happy. Now they drop like candy and the sense of achievement just isn't there, nor is the sense of power that so many people talk about.

I remember getting Gally for the first time, and Hawkmoon. I remember being so happy to buy HungJury SR4...and getting my god rolled Saladins Vigil from Archons Forge. I remember playing a game of rift and slamming the enemy runner with death from above (seems like I rocketed across the map lol) just as they were slamming and clutched the game. So much fun. Those moments made me feel great.
