Taken King dlc-xbox one

Hi, i just got an xbox one and i'm currently playing the trial mode of destiny. i played the full game on xbox 360 and i bought the taken king dlc. My question is do i have to buy the taken king dlc again when i buy the full version of xbox one destiny?

  • Yes, you'll have to rebuy it; it was never part of the freebie upgrade (and even the freebie upgrade was phased out with the release of Destiny: The Collection). You'll want to purchase Destiny: The Collection on Xbox One; it'll come with all DLC and the main game. Also note that if you purchase it physically, you will have to use the disk; if you want to play Destiny entirely digital, you'll want to buy it digitally; you can't later purchase just the base game digitally on its own as it's only available in the Destiny: The Collection bundle. So if you plan on being all digital, buy it from the start instead of wasting money buying it twice.

  • Yes, the taken king doesn't transfer for free. If you want to play destiny 1 then buy the collection however development has stopped since destiny 2 came out. Plus finding groups will take abit longer.
