I personally love Destiny and love collecting or making progress on in game milestones. So I wonder why are there no progressive rewards we could work towards in D2. We could have a book just like D1 or even another tracking tab.It would add more grind and longevity to the game and I would love it if they added this to the game. Here are some ideas I had Cabal Rank I - Defeat 25,000 Cabal Reward - Bright Engram Rank II - Defeat 50,000 Cabal Reward - Exotic Engram Rank III - Defeat 100,000 Cabal Reward - Emblem "Shield Breaker" Fallen Rank I - Defeat 25,000 Fallen Reward - Bright Engram Rank II - Defeat 50,000 Fallen Reward - Exotic Engram Rank III - Defeat 100,000 Fallen Reward - Emblem "Ether Addict" Hive Rank I - Defeat 25,000 Hive Reward - Bright Engram Rank II - Defeat 50,000 Hive Reward - Exotic Engram Rank III - Defeat 100,000 Hive Reward - Emblem "Worm God" Taken Rank I - Defeat 25,000 Taken Reward - Bright Engram Rank II - Defeat 50,000 Taken Reward - Exotic Engram Rank III - Defeat 100,000 Taken Reward - Emblem "Taken Out" Vex Rank I - Defeat 25,000 Vex Reward - Bright Engram Rank II - Defeat 50,000 Vex Reward - Exotic Engram Rank III - Defeat 100,000 Vex Reward - Emblem "Vex, Alt, Del" Each emblem would track corresponding enemies defeated. We could continue this trend of Ranks and Kills with guns, the emblem rewards being called Scout Rifles - Scouting Ahead Assault Rifles - Unrelenting Pulse Rifles - Finger on the Pulse Submachine Guns - Spray and Play Hand Cannons - Thorn in my side Sidearm - Side Piece Shotgun - Up close and personal Sniper - Eagle Eyed Fusion Rifle - Charging Up Rocket Launcher - Rocket Man We could even extend it to Exotics and after a certain amount of kills with the weapon you get rewarded the exotic shader for the weapon. Next would rewards for collecting end game rewards Raid Have 8 items equipped at the same time from the raid Reward Emblem - "Calus's Shadow" Trails Have 8 items equipped at the same time from Trails of the Nine Reward Emblem - "One of Nine" Iron Banner Have 8 items equipped at the same time from Iron Banner. Reward Emblem - "Young Wolf's Howl" Crucible Have 8 items equipped at the same time from The Crucible Reward Emblem - "Crucible Champion" Vanguard Have 8 items equipped at the same time from The Vanguard Reward Emblem - "Power to the People" Factions Have 8 items equipped at the same time from a Faction Reward Emblem - New Monarchy "Diplomat" Future War Cult "Time Traveller Dead Orbit "Space Pirate" Activities Strikes- Complete 250 strikes Reward - Emblem "Going on Strike Public Events- Complete 500 Heroic Public Events Reward - Emblem "Public Speaker" Lost Sectors - Complete 500 Lost Sectors Rewards- Emblem"Lost and Found" Nightfall- Complete 100 Nightfalls Reward- Emblem"And the Dawn comes" I could go on forever talking about what they could add to bring longevity to the endgame and I hope the implement something like this onto the game. What would you change or add from my ideas?

  • I like your idea, seems very easy to do, on the other hand it would be bungie's lazy attempt to make D2 have more replay ability for certain aspects of the game that are missing instead of fixing them. But i agree, record books are sorely missing. Could have been more of in game grimore. Tracking your kills, kills with weapon archetype, exotic kills. Maybe even puzzles to unlock Brian figuring out flavor text meaning.
