I'll start by saying that I love Scout and Pulse rifles. I play the distance game. I used the MIDA heavily in D1 and will continue to use that and my Nightshade in D2. Now, I totally agree with your TL;DR. I don't want Bungie to bring the MIDA down. I want them to lift other weapon types up.

I agree but will add that high cals should be nerfed across the game. Way too strong of a flinch right now.
