Will Bungie change the shader system?

Please note that this isn't a "complain-post" or a "I think it should be changed to this" post. I'm looking for discussion over a controversial topic. Shaders, and what YOU think of it. The shaders debacle is a huge controversy still going on within the community. The ability to apply shaders to armor, weapons, and more individually is great, but the fact that they are consumable has been panned all across the community. There were so many posts on r/DestinyTheGame that the mods had to make a Megathread since there were so many shaders-related posts. Even here, there's post after post asking for the current shader system to be changed. But the question is... will they? I know Luke Smith made comments on Twitter regarding shaders, but all he did was explain how the current system works, while going around the direct criticism, and it didn't really help the situation all that much. Do you think Bungie will address the shader controversy, or do you think they're even still aware? Lastly, if the system were to change, how would you like to see it changed?
