I find that getting melee kills gets me a good variety of ammo. You could also use your energy weapon to get kinetic/power ammo and vice versa, but I find melee to be the most effective ammo solution for me.

Well I'm glad it works for you but I've gone through Strikes and Raid encounters with absolutely zero ammo drops. Start to finish, there was a Strike that didn't drop ammo until I was completely empty and my grenades and melee abilities and Super had run out. Boss was wrecking teammates and I had to run around throwing a melee whenever I could afford to with no drops in sight, like "sorry, guys. Lol."

I'm sorry to hear that man. Even though this does work for me I do hope that they bring back the synths in some form because it would make things a little more convenient for everyone.

Yeah, sometimes its not a ton of ammo but it's more consistent for me. I hope it works for you!
