Not just the Raid. Just doing normal Strikes I've run out of ammo. Once I had no ammo for any of my 3 weapons, no grenade, and no Super. I just had to wait on the sidelines while the other 2 took out a Fallen walker.
It might be just my perception but it seems like when I run the Rat King, I run out of primary ammo quite often. I wind up using my secondary until I can locate some primary on the ground, which isn't as frequent as you might think.

You can't have been hiding for long because if you have no ammo at all, it replenishes primary and energy after a few seconds No need for synths whatsoever....

I probably got ammo after about 30 seconds. I didn't time it. But I'm sure the randoms were wondering why I wasn't doing anything. As for the point about ammo synthesis, it depends on what you mean by "need." Personally, it sure would be nice to have a heavy synthesis to pop before the boss battle.

This. I'll be swimming in all kinds of ammo on Patrol, but halfway through a strike all I've got is harsh language and sharp sticks.

I've only run out of ammo for my energy weapon twice, and all I did was switch to my kinetic weapon. 10 seconds later there were energy weapon ammo drops, so I switched back. There must be more rounds in the ground than in enemies if you're running out of all your ammo during a strike.

Sweet business chews through ammo like nobodies' business. I also run out primary and secondary ammo when using scout rifles or handcannons
