Means to "Your" End

Issue Number 1 For those who are frustrated with not achieving higher dropped engrams Like in D1 the engrams are based on a "Percentage Matrix" And "Progression Matrix" An average of your Light Rating/Power Percentage with Quest Recommended rating. Here is a "Percentage Matrix" Example is your 289 Light Power/Level Exotic 287-292 <--- 98% to 102% of level* Purple 284-291 <--- 94% to 101% of level* Blue 275-285 <--- Base Example 2 is 291 Light Power/Level Exotic 289- 294 <--- Same as above* Purple 286- 291 <--- Same as above* Blue 280-290 <--- Base *- Does not mean it limits your chances to per-say that exact percent. A good example is lower level gaming This "Percentage Matrix" is something that takes Length and time to Equate to your earnings. Just because you broke the 290 mark and your Blues are a higher rated Item than previous This doesn't change the fact purple and exotics are at a percentage of your level. This "Percentage Matrix" means you cant just get to max level in a day vs someone who has entered a week ago. Even with tips and tricks to better your chances or make it faster. Double Character Class, Strikes, Mission, Raid, Weekly etc. It also takes the progression in story-line (Recommend Ratings). As it updates and grows as a game it'll be slightly more easier to get better drops They are rated to stay in the Percentage range of your light level and story progression. Here is "Game Progression" Example 1 Recommended Light Rating 260 Your Rating 286 This equals out to the "Percentage Matrix". You have the "chance" at better Equipment but A Lot Less Likely Example 2 Recommended Light Rating 260 Your Rating 250 Items dropped are rated at light level 260 and based on those Percentages with a higher chance at better gear. Higher chance due to the fact the difficulty is taken into consideration The game will make it so you get there faster even if you fail or die in the mission. Next run gains higher chance of better completion with less likely-hood of favorable drops. Hope this answers all the complaints about the games progression of Power Rating. Issue Number 2. Issues with repetitive gear? Here is a Solution To change your chances of getting something different 1.] log onto a second character and build them for a while 2.] change subclass. we can talk all day about dice rolls and percentages of the likely hood of a better chance. using one character for extended periods tend to produce the same inclement chance of the percentage. Each class and subclass can change your % chances of getting "better" or different items. Use the system to your advantage and understand the parameters. It's like every other RPG game out there and the system of chance. Change the beginning Parameters of the equation and you'll receive a different result. This should solve the riddle for all those complainers out there. Knowledge is Power
