You have emotional angst about online social interactions? You my friend need to go outside, get some sun, then go sit in a bar grab a drink and start talking to randos at the bar that just happen to sit down. Or go travelling and do that stuff. Sell your PS4 and there you've got enough money to go visit a new place and focus on important shit like fixing your ridiculous social anxiety.

  • Yeah, not everyone likes to have interactions with random people. For a lot of people its stressful and annoying. It doesn't mean that theres anything wrong with him or that he needs to be fixed.

  • Ok, see this is a common misconception. I'm not an antisocial person. I have a wife, and a daughter. I partied plenty when I was young. I played Basketball and Football in leagues and any sport that came across my radar. I still play basketball with people at least twice a week even though I am 40. I still hang out with my friends constantly. I was even the lead singer in band for three years! I'm not some nervous shut-in, and the same is true of most of the people who can relate to what I wrote. It's just when it comes to interacting with people there is this little voice that says "It's easier just to be alone. Less trouble." or "I don't want to intrude" or "I just want to think my own thoughts right now."

  • I'm surprised you actually responded to that tbh, it wasn't meant to be taken seriously it was more just busting balls than anything else. I don't care about who or what you used to be to be honest mate, I'm more wrapped up in my own life and my own problems... Like for example, I'm tryna decide whether it'll be worth it to shag this fit bird at work. On the one hand it'll absolutely be worth it, and I can probably talk my way out of it seen as these canadians all love a brit... On the other hand i'm a terrible employee that is lazy af and already pushes the boundaries on what I can get away with, so i feel like HR would have a field day with me. So excuse me, some of us have REAL PROBLEMS BUDDEH! lol.. on a serious note though I totally get what you mean, most times when i played raids in D1 if it wasn't with my friends I'd just stay off the mic unless they messed up a lot...not because I have any issues talking, because if anything, i talk too much... but more because it wasn't necessary to mic up if you knew how to play.

  • Yeah I was hesitant to try to provide examples of my normalness. Not trying to sound like some local hero. Your post about work was hilarious
