This is somewhat off-topic, but if the oceans of Titan are methane that place must smell REEEEAAALLY bad.
English
-
No odor but it is definitely deceptively cold on Titan. The temperature for liquid methane is well below freezing. Which is odd considering Sloane is standing around in those temperatures without a helmet.
-
It may be some kind of methane-mix element. I dunno -I'm not a chemist. I do know that methane doesn't actively give off electricity or any form of energy -like the crackling surf of energy that exists across the surface of the sea, and along the crests of the waves. So a methane, space magic mix.
-
I should probably give up trying to apply any actual physics to Destiny.
-
It was a world the traveler did touch, so maybe it's not cold anymore?
-
It has to be for the methane to be a liquid otherwise Titan would just be a rocky gas moon with minimal water.
-
Methane Nitrite? I dunno. I think that solids with nitrates or trites become fluid at room temperature. Or a methane-laced mercury fluid. No... then the rig probably have any danger of sinking into it -Mercury is WICKED heavy. I have no idea. Space magic? Space Magic.
-
And we got giant black and white balls of goo eating stuff in the taken king. At this point anything is fair game in Destiny :/
-
Methane is naturally odorless, we add scent agents to it for safety.

Oh....maybe I've got the wrong gas in mind? What's the gas that's in our farts?
-
Wrong gas in mind? Brain fart.
-
Carbon Dioxide.
-
A few different things including methane but it's the traces of sulfur that make them stink.
