I laughed out loud when u said Destiny 1 hand cannons never performed that well.. since the AR's and Vex tot nerfed wat at the beginning of has been pretty much a 2 and a half years of hand cannon meta. I guess you missed the part there Thorn, Hawkmoon, Last Word, Eyasluna and Palindrome were the absolute kings all over pvp.

That Thorn meta...most over powered hand cannon I got to use in D1. I didn't get Hawkmoon till the hand cannon nerf. I really wanted Hawkmoon for a long time :(

I got it the other way around when Thorn was god i only had Hawkmoon.. which was close enough to compete. And way cooler

No, I didn't miss the Hand Cannon Meta in D1; but purely IMO I didn't feel that they felt as good or performed as good as the Scout Rifles for me. I loved Thorn, Fatebringer, and Palindrome; and I used them, just only when I was needing a change from my usual go-to Scouts. I just feel that, when compared to D1, D2's HC's are... lacking. Sunshot is the first HC I've found in D2 that is fun [i]and[/i] a near-indispensable weapon to have in your load out. [spoiler]And to be completely honest, after finding 12+ Exotics, it's the only Exotic so far that feels... Exotic and powerful. The rest of the Exotics I've found, both weapons and armor, are crap IMO. Sunshot is the first Exotic I've found that is worth actively working to get.[/spoiler] And don't get me started on the current state of Scout Rifles. I loved that entire weapon class in D1, and seeing how they've been neutered on D2 is almost painful for me...

I agree with the lack of good exotics the only new one that is truly amazing is merciless. As for sunshot.. yes idd good but of you look what it does its just a hand cannon with a better version of firefly.

I was also taking into account the accuracy at range, rate of fire, accuracy when firing rapidly, and speed of reload. The weapons effects are great, and you're right about it being just a version of Firefly on steroids. But the whole rest of the design of the HC make it shine above other HC's in the game by magnitudes.
