Presumably the other areas from d1 are still there, just not under attack at the moment. You can see the dreadnought still floating during the final cinematic.
The rest will be addressed when their time comes, I suppose. Not everything needs to be explained at once.

Did not expect all answers now but I hoped they would answer some of the cliffhangers that have been there for over a year or more.

Ahhh, but remember something. D1 is something of a "Year Zero" Arc. We now have plot threads that will definitely shape the future, but aren't all touched on right now. Potentially, we'll see them return as we go along the story.
