Honestly I think they've gone for the 'play other games between expansions' route. Exotics look dull, light level can only increase past 260 in weekly rituals like nfall, raid, adventures, so you'll hop on at reset, do your stuff, then what? No point playing for you can't increase light. PvP is more team focused meaning the guys who hop on for 2-3 games before bed, now won't. Guns having static rolls again suits people who don't play much. The game looks like a very casual easy to play team orientated game, just like D1 but with no grind needed. It could fall off. I've read the story too, it's not great. Might look great but the actual storyline is silly (I won't spoil)

  • Counter Strike is very team based, however I just "hop on for 1-3 games every night" and can do quite well. You may be surprised.

  • One of the things they mentioned they wanted to do this time around was avoid any kind of content drout at all. So I don't think we're going to 'play different games between expansions' this time around.

  • They've stated that already, as they did in yr1, it's fine to play other games. And the roadmap has already been datamined, dlc Dec 5th, 2nd dlc 1st week in march, then live events Inc SRL Xmas 2019 (not in 2018).. There's another expansion due sept 2019, as of yet name unknown but it's already being built. PC forums already going crazy about waiting 10 weeks for the first dlc, as they're used to monthly updates on WoW, overwatch p, LoL etc

  • 10 weeks for a DLC is standard in PC games, Overwatch has never had a DLC. Think more along the lines of Battlefield DLC's and passes.

  • Yeah I think the guy said updates, my bad, and I don't play pc, just quoting what I read on Reddit. I'm perfectly fine with 3 months between content , maybe not patches but hey we can hope, right? I mean bungies last patch we waited 9 months for

  • Some will yeah, me too prob. But I honestly don't think it's anywhere near GoTy material. My aim to be totally honest, is to hit 999999 on Kill-Tracker ghost :)
