I think the concept is good, it is there, but the problem is that Bethesda wants to act as a medium so they can take their money too.
Bethesda doesn't allow authors to make money off their mods, and the only way they can is for Bethesda to sanction them with things like the CC.

Fair enough, my personal issue with most of the stuff is Bethesda is charging at least double what everything should be. However do we know how the revenue is split up? I was kind of assuming it was the typical 70% to author, and 30% to the Bethesda. If it's not that's pretty -blam!-ed up

First: I did just notice that the pricing for the "points" and the amount offered is the exact same as the crown packs for the Elder Scrolls Online crown store. So basically: This has Zenimax Media, the parent complaint for Bethesda Softworks and BGS, written all over it. Second: I don't know if that information is out or not, but I wouldn't put it behind them.

I did just discover some information, apparently the mod authors don't get a split at all. They get paid upfront, and Zenimax Media/Bethesda Softworks takes the money.
