PVP continues to ruin the game. I wish I could say I was stunned (I'm not). Would be a much better game, without it.

I 100% disagree. Obviously not a PvP core player.
-
And if we had a PvP only game without all the PvE players, THAT game would be a lot better too.
-
Go back to Minecraft.
And if we had a PvP only game without all the PvE players, THAT game would be a lot better too.
Ahahahahahhahahaha. You'd have a game nobody plays
-
Except this is a PVE game first and foremost. PVP is a side thing that Bungie, for whatever reason, gives more attention then necessary. More come to this game for the former, not the latter.
-
Edited by Duke: 8/30/2017 3:41:36 PMWhere did Bungie say that? I can't find it anywhere. While I admit PvP was a throw in at the beginning of Destiny 1, Destiny 2 is a completely new game and I think we all know for a fact that PvP wasn't just a throw in this go round.
-
There was a video on youtube i don't know who from, I think it was Mesa Sean... Mentioned that player population stats from destiny tracker showed that more players were still involved in PvE activities over Pvp the majority of the time. This is second hand information from a youtuber so i don't know how accurate it is.
-
That's accurate information, but it's not relevant. Nobody determines the focus of the game but Bungie. They'll steer it where they want and for someone to tell them what their game should be on such a broad scale (meaning not little changes to the game or QOL changes) is absolutely idiotic and mindless.

Edited by -LP-: 8/30/2017 12:23:28 PMNo it wouldn't. It just wouldn't have PvP. If you really believe that idiotic argument, just tell yourself it doesn't exist and move on. Or does the Crucible symbol in the Director bother you THAT much?
-
Ignoring crucible doesn't make the PvP-specific changes screwing up PvE gameplay go away. Happened a lot in D1, and has happened in primarily PvE MMOGs which included PvP since their inception. That said, D2 has already shown a difference in how the exact same power/weapon behaves differently in PvE vs. PvP. It's not perfect, but it never will be. Hopefully they won't stop trying. I suspect at least part of the problem is how we as players and the devs approach PvP in relation to the world of Destiny. Eh, this isn't the spot for this part of this thought.
-
Which would make it better due to balancing being much better and idiotic quests that involve PVP in my PVE game.
-
Not your game.

Or does the Crucible symbol in the Director bother you THAT much?
PvE would be better if no PvP mode existed. In this scenario, the game would be designed with whats best for PvE in mind. What we had for 3 years of D1 & the entire design of D2, is PvE design as an afterthought. Almost everything that has changed in D1 or D2 was done with PvP in mind. So your suggestion to just ignore PvP doesn't really work. They can simply not play PvP, but all the present & future changes will still be because of PvP.
-
Then don't buy the game. I had the same mind until I played the PC beta and realized that PvE is still as good as it ever was. PvP is something that was supposed to be there since day one. It's not going away.

I don't want PvP to go away. I want it to have zero effect on the real game.
