I find listening to stories helps me.. I mostly listen to "horror" stories on YouTube but it's more for the persons voice than the words. Headphones in shut your eyes and just listen. It kinda drowns out all the thoughts in your head.
If you're interested, try CreepsMcPasta, Lazy Masquerade, Lets Read!, urmaker (fear your maker) or Corpse Husband. I've put them in order of which voices are more relaxing.

There's a guy who speculates on Dark Souls characters and stories. Forgot his name, but he sounds nice. Just search for anything Dark Souls-y and he'll probably be there. He's an Aussie

Lazy Masquerade is an absolute blessing for when I need to get to sleep. The Hiking stories are lit.

I like the "lets no meet again" ones or the few paranormal ones that pops up. His voice is lovely tho but i feel I've listened to all of them by now. Any others you could recommend?

The Private Detective ones are the perfect mix of creepy, and sad. Also, the Native American ones creep me the fu[i]c[/i]k out. The best The about Lazy is that he doesn't over do it when he's reading.

I find corpse husband can be a little over the top sometimes but i think his "fame" is just getting to his head a bit. His channel grew REALLY quickly. You're right tho, Lazy is just chilled. Him and Creeps are definitely the most soothing out of them all.
