The goal of the post is not to inspire dialogue and discuss lore, but to take pot shots at the developer. If he wants to do that, he should man up and be straight about it. Hell, half the questions are story elements of D2, so there's zero way for "Bungie to address the issue" at this time.

Read my post. Most of his "criticism" are D2 story elements (some are answered in the beta) or simply a change in mechanics from one game to another. No need for "lore" reasons to do so. I don't recall Nintendo ever being taken to task of answering why Samus [i]always[/i] loses her arsenal or abilities between games. It just is. It's a [i]game, [/i]things change mechanically, and if that's not enough for you, then you're just being salty, not critical.

Those "story elements" are choices made by the developers that OP is not happy with. It's a feedback forum, that is feedback. And you cant compare Destiny to the Samus games, because unlike those Destiny was supposed to be a continuous story and continuously building plot line. So when questions from D1's story are just ignored, that's a problem.

[/quote] So you're saying he's not happy because the devs haven't answered story elements that are in D2 before its released? Cause that's what I'm hearing. And OP isn't happy with why our stuff is gone or the reason given? Fair enough. But he doesn't then get the right to continually ask for an answer when it's already been answered ad nauseum. Also, OP and others are wanting answers about many questions which Bungie has already stated will be addressed in later installments. Luke Smith stated in regards to the queen: "There's more stories to tell." In regards to the Darkness: "D1 introduced us to the universe. D2 focuses on the light. D3 will be about the Darkness." So no, he doesn't get to be critical of Bungie being bad story tellers because they've addressed many of his issues. He's either ignoring them for the sake of taking shots, or is unwilling to admit those answers exist out of ego. OP may think he's "being critical," but if he had intention of being neutral on the matters at hand, he would concede such points. But he won't because he's salty about the change in direction from Y1 to Y2. Again, that's fine. But he's being disingenuous with his intentions and doing it purposefully, spinning the narrative to fit his agenda, which makes this a shit post and he a troll. I had him muted for reasons like this.

people act like there isn't story Inconsistencies and or rewrites to stories in every movie, video game and comic books franchises. halo, zelda, star wars, lord of the rings, marvel, DC. the people writing the stories get inspired and re-inspired by other thoughts and "visions". quit being such "angry nerds" and just enjoy the story that's being told. most are mad that the story didn't turn out the way they wanted.

If you were thinking with a clear head, you'd realize "plot holes" like "why do guardians move slower" are as holey as "why do enemies drop glimmer," or "why does everyone have Ikora's custom weapon (Invective)," or "why do we respawn in darkness zones," or "why can I kill Aksis multiple times." These gameplay elements have non-diagetic reasons because, wait for it, it's a game.

A lot of them are plot holes, a few of them are not. Agreed tho, he shouldnt be misleading with his title. Still does not make it a shit post, and only peoplr that disagreed with him would say such a thing.

Because a LOT of this has already been answered... Yes, the OP has a point and there are a few examples that we'll have to wait and see whether they answer or not in the full game, but the list is nowhere near as long as OP tried to make it.
