The beta is awesome? It's two missions and two Crucible modes. Destiny 1's beta was the entire Earth chapter of the campaign.
I'd done everything in the beta and gotten bored in no time. At the Farm, right now and it's just invisible walls and vast emptiness.

The D2 beta is a stress test, it's to test their server effectiveness but it's also letting you try the basic gameplay. The farm was empty for a reason and as I stated before the farm was released empty and for an hour was to jam pack as many people in one space to see how their servers hold up. The D1 beta was larger content wise, yes, but it also let you play the first half of the game. The D2 beta allows more mystery and suspense.

Oh yeah I wanted half the story spoiled before the game even came out totally... That's why Destiny 1's story was so disappointing. We got half of it in the beta.

That wasn't the main consensus with the hatred on the game. It was the lack of character for out guardian, open ended campaign, EXO stranger, and grimoire. Not that it thrown partially into the beta. With that said, I see what you mean. Why spoil everything? At the same time, they gave alot away in the homecoming mission but those details were strewn together plot points with no cause or reason. Flawed writing in just one mission. It was a failure on the "story" aspect in just one mission. Truly.
