So instead of listening to the naysayer, form your own opinion and make your own choice. You don't owe anyone an explanation for your choice, nor do you need to shove it onto someone else unsolicited. If you're not getting it, good for you for making an adult decision. Move on to the thing that excites you, don't linger like an obsessed, abusive ex... or cancer. If you're getting it, great! Same goes for you.
