D2 beta is awesome, I'm still getting the game, and I'm still going to love it.
Things are different, yes, isn't that what we wanted?
New game, new mechanics , different abilities.
I swear I love this game but streamers and youtubers have ruined gamer's minds.
Stop listening to the internet rant , and make up your own mind. If you don't like it, don't play it. It's that simple.
For the rest of us, we will be enjoying this game for the long haul. I hope to see you all starside!

3 Repliestoo bad the developers for this game openly state they use reddit as their source for information. Don't get me wrong it is idiotic that they even openly say that, but they don't use any information from this forum. Watch some of the new reveal videos multiple dev's say can't wait to see reddit forums, or lets see how reddit takes the change, etc...

I think it's fairly clear on here and on reddit, this game has taken a turn for the worse although maybe not bad enough to not buy it.

Glad you like it. I'm honestly pleasantly surprised myself. I played a lot of D1, but never got to raid much, because my friends never stuck around long enough, and I despise LFG. So I can't speak to how the changes will effect raids ... But I can see how it might make it a pretty rough go. I didn't want sweeping changes, so aside from abysmal recharge rates, I'm kind of digging it. I just hope they start separating PvE and PvP. Combining them has been Bingie's greatest mistake from the get-go. Why they can't see it absolutely baffles me.

Bungie ruined the destiny experience. They are the ones to blame. Balancing a whole game for PvP. Hope it bites them in the ass.

When I play the beta, I find myself having fun and enjoying myself, even in crucible, which I hated in D1. It seems like a lot of people around here get mad that I enjoy the beta and try to convince me I'm not actually having fun. It hasn't worked so far.

8 RepliesYou're very mistaken my friend the youtubers/streamers are doing nothing but singing the praises of D2 like you would expect. Yes we wanted a change but we didn't want useless abilities, supers to take an age to charge even with loads of add kills, abilities to have large cool downs, power ammo to be non existent, pvp to be favoured over pve, hard core pvp players getting the new game modes and casual players getting the old stuff just changed slightly, pvp to feel more like trials and less fun for crap or casual players, all weapons that do any real damage to be put in the power category so bosses feel like your just stood there shooting for ages and ages floor drops then shoot and shoot Flores drops shoot and shoot with no real mechanics or anything interesting to do, a little more pve in the beta as it doesn't have much replay abilities only for pvp. I'm starting to rant so I'm going to stop there. All in all it's good it's not great but it can be and that's why people are stating their opinions on it so that hopefully bungie will listen and tweak what needs tweaking.

I will say most of the large streamers seem very pleased with the game. The beta is not flawless, but it's definitely not bad. I have some things I hope change in the final version, but what we're seeing is a good indication of what's to come, and I'm happy with what I've seen so far. Hopefully as we progress, the damage won't feel so tepid in PVE, and the power ammo increase will be really nice. I also like the direction the PVP is going, and with a slight increase to super charge time, I think will be in a really great spot. Definitely looking forward to more, September can't come soon enough!
