If Bungie wants to reward gunplay in crucible, I think the super gains per kill should reflect that. More gun kills = faster super cool down. I am unsure of everyone else's experiences but I seem to be getting my super the last 1-2 min of the game, sometimes not able to use my super during game at all. And I've been going all positive. What are people's thoughts?

  • I haven't played PVP. But what you're reporting seems to be the common experience of everyone who has. That supers are a non-factor or come right at the very end of matches....and people feel rushed to use them so that they don't go to waste.

  • Yes! There were some games where my super came in the last 30 seconds. I like how supers have less of an effect on the outcome of the game; at the same time, these unique character supers are what make Destiny truly special from every other shooter.

  • I've only ever gotten my super at the end of the game and it was usually around the time the other team had theirs... depending on how well we did on the scoreboard. One thing I can appreciate is the universal cooldown. 1-2 supers if that, per game, is a lot better than 3-4 or getting shoulder charged or wombo-combo'd every 15 seconds.

  • I certainly see where you're coming from. I like how abilities and supers aren't being spammed. However, I think there should be a reward for great gunplay. Everyone getting their super at the same time (end of game) is not encouraging the style of play that Bungie wants for D2. I think a max 2 supers/player per game is a good change and a step in the right direction.

  • I agree. They need tweak how much super energy you get from kills since it's a shared pool -- shared pool in the sense that if we both shoot a player and you kill him/her -- I still get the credit. Maybe they can reward more super energy for double or triple kills? Everyone having their super at the same time is no fun -- one or the other is going to get shut down, seeing as it's, 'use it or lose it' now. Lol. I tend to hang on to my super until the end of the match... if I even get to use it.
