The new weapon loadout ruins PvE and PvP. Only one person gets heavy ammo in PvP. Special weapons don't belong in the heavy slot. Grenade launchers suck. No machine guns for some dumbass reason. Supers are weak. Grenades are weak. Shotguns have no range. Guns are weak. The exotics suck except for the hand cannon. Crucible is a team shoot campfest. Time to kill is too long. Fist of Panic still kills you when you're way above the player. Nova bomb travels like Lance in Destiny 1. Ammo drops are non-existent. Shield recharge takes too long.
All that said, the gameplay is great, and the game is beautiful. The female AI dialogue is cringy though.

What were once special weapon types are now energy weapons and in some cases power weapons. It helps to think of it as a different game. Because in a way, it is. And change is always stressful to a degree.

We're used to having both a long range precision rifle and a rocket launcher for example equipped simultaneously as well as being able to switch between them in an instant when needed. Whereas now we can only equip one or the other. And the result of that change is going to require more thoughtful mission planning on our part. For instance, if we know the first encounter in an activity, such as strike or the Raid, involves long range engagements then equipping a rocket launcher may not be the best option. If, however, we know we're going to be engaged in close quarters combat or against a number of enemies including yellow bars, then equipping a rocket launcher would likely be the better option. In D1 when the encounter changed there is/was often time to change ones loadout ahead of time knowing a certain weapon (or weapons) would soon be most beneficial. So in that sense it's not a significant difference. It simply requires more forethought. That said, I agree with you in the sense that it's going to be different, requiring us to adapt to the changes which, given time, we will. And by doing so we will not allow the enemy to dictate the terms of the fight. Granted, the above is a PvE centric viewpoint which brings us to something that has been mentioned numerous times. That being PvE and PvP should be separate game types each with distinctive weapons and armor as I don't see any other way of balancing the two otherwise. It's well known that the vast majority of players purchase CoD for example for the PvP and it's been that way for years. Destiny on the other hand, from the very early advertisements prior to release, was clearly marketed as a PvE game spanning years. It wasn't until many had completed the main story arc that PvP became the hot topic on this forum. And until the release of D2 the percentage of PvP discussion vastly outweighed PvE to the point PvE was seemingly forgotten entirely at times. That needs to change imo since a house divided cannot stand. One way of doing so may be to limit both weapons and armor to the game type in which one acquired them. In other words, separate armor and weapons for each game type, with each having its own loot system. In that way weapons/armor/perks, etc can be balanced in both PvE and PvP separately without affecting the other game type. That said, doing so may be easier said than done as there may be considerations we're unaware of such as the game engine or other aspects that may require extensive reworking or even something entirely different.

Well if people would have not abused sniping to the point where you couldn't take one step without getting your face blown off cause sniping is so easy in this game, secondary would still be in D1 and D2 wouldn't have this system.

Agreed. When someone can turn a corner. That almost never uses snipers. Like me. And can kill 3 people rapid fire because of the aim assist. Something needed to change. However i think they should have seperated the 2 by having heavy and light power weapons maybe or some other varient especially for pve.
