It takes a millennium to get your super

So is it just me or is anyone else about to die of old age trying to get their super in D2? I can't find a way to boost the charge rate either. [i]~Nyahh! =^,.,^=[/i]

  • I realize (and I hope many other people do too) that this is still just a beta and this isn't the final product, but still. The recharge rate is god awful. And keep this in mind: it's not just about PvP. There's this thing called pve which makes up about a little more than half the entire game. [spoiler]So if you're here for the sole purpose of just ranting on about pvp and how it only matters there, just leave now. Because nobody will take you seriously with that kind of attitude.[/spoiler]

  • At least let us spawn with a grenade , and if there are armor mods to reduce our super cooldown bungie needs to seriously acknowledge this .. before half the community leave before it even starts

    Charging time of supers and nades are fine in D2, in D1 were to many supers and nades. Lets do some numbers of D1 ......in a PVP 10 minutes match you will have 24 nades....yes 24 !!!! if you charge your nades at 25 seconds rate, could be more nades depend on your equipment. Also you will have at least 02 supers if you do not kill any one, but usually you will have 03 supers per match. So in summary ........if you equip Stickys nades you could have 24 kills only will nades and at leats 06 kills with 03 supers asumming you are a potato using your supers........Yes about 30 kills without fire a single bullet....that was totaly broken. In the new system in D2 you HAVE TO USE you weapons, no every challenge will have something to do with a granade or a super. Countdowm PVP mode 4 vs 4 is ok. Control 4 vs 4 is not good should be 6 vs 6. Extremely terrible thing that the weapons will have the same perks...... with D1perks system you have reason to play over and over hundreds of hours looking for the GOD ROLL WEAPON, and also makes for example that 50 different weapons feel like 500 weapons only because of the perks combination. BUNGIE PLEASE FIX THE PERK WEAPON SYSTEMS IT SHOUD BE LIKE D1

    • I do also think cooldown times are a bit slow. There are some abilities to help but only on the hunter as I saw. Warlock and Titan new subclasses are amazing and so fun but I wish I could use them and their abilities more. The PVP seems... off to me. The guns seem underpowered and not satisfying. Our guardians seem very slow. We are powerful yet we can't move. We are skilled yet our guns are not. Like the pvp just feels weird to me because it's different and I don't think I like it but I don't know. I'll try. Control felt awful and too fast and not enough players on team and never got my super so that's a thing. Countdown is fun, but the guns kind of ruin It because they feel off. The strike is fun and hard so the abilities would be nice. If a strike is this hard one excited to see how the raid will be. I'm excited for the game but I'm also excited for changes and buffs. And before you all go "it's just a beta blah blah blah" this critique is what a beta is for. They want to see what people think and like or dislike AS WELL as glitches. Have a nice day, I shall continue to play. (Idk if it is significant at all but after an hour and a half playing I would usually keep playing but I fell asleep so.... don't know what to say about that)

    • If Bungie wants to reward gunplay in crucible, I think the super gains per kill should reflect that. More gun kills = faster super cool down. I am unsure of everyone else's experiences but I seem to be getting my super the last 1-2 min of the game, sometimes not able to use my super during game at all. And I've been going all positive. What are people's thoughts?

      • I love how people are giving backlash about it being more gun skill oriented. That completely takes the fun away from it. If you want gun skill go play rainbow six. Abilities are what make the game and our characters unique, and if you're gonna whine about getting killed by grenades or nova bombs then this isnt the game for you.

        • It's not just the super that feels slow and weak, but it does indeed feel far too slow. Hopefully that's just a beta thing and we shall once more rise as powerful god-slaying spacezombies, with mighty weapons and powers. The things that make Destiny unique to play are the powers, without them it's just a decent shooty game with a solid feel. The cramped crucible is a bit more worrying, I don't really like having to rotate my friends out for the cut-down new "fun-size", I don't like that small maps mean half the weapons are pointless (why bother with a long range weapon in such a tiny space?), nor that it results in death-on-spawn so often. People are often close enough to kill a materialising guardian, sure it evens out across the teams, but it's still a terrible way to go. To sum up, the beta makes me feel much weaker than we did in the original Destiny beta and I agree it is partly due to the long recharge times.

          • The super and grenade regen take too long. They already made the weapons weaker, they shouldn't have made those worse as well

          • I think many people are having this problem in both pvp and pve. They need to do something to increase the rate the supers charge.

              it is ridiculous how slow the nova bomb is,i think I saw the strike boss slow clap and point every time my nova went right past him as he was standing still. -Over all the player movement is a little too slow -The recharge rates are painfully slow for PvE -The jump cancel feature is awfully slow for warlocks -is our guardian mute? Bcus he/she looks like he's trying to speak in the cut scenes but can't...find a cheap voice actor or 6 so we can't have the option to pick our voice or give us a standard male /female voice -ammo drops for the strike almost don't exist -not sure why the radar was changed but it's slow picking up multiple enemies +surprisingly control felt fun and I'm not a big PvPer +game looks a lot better + I'm struggling with +s cant too much speak on gear , drop rates and weapons bcus it's only a beta +++++ fusions are hard hitting on yellow bar and bosses.... finally keep fusions alive

              • Grenade recharge rate is a joke. Sure for pvp that might be fine and dandy but I play Overwatch for pvp. I play Destiny for PVE content and this 10 mins for a grenade stuff is silly.

                • It could be because this is the beta and it isnt t10-12 gear that everyone is use to having. I imagine when the game comes out this is the rate our stuff will be at when we begin the game.

                      • The only 2 fundemental problems with D2 beta include the fact that rocket launchers and grenade launchers are significantly better that Shotguns, snipers and sometimes the fusion; they should not be in the same category. Also the fact that health regen is so slow in a game that now revolves around teamshot means that it is a lot harder to beat more than one opponent even if you are better that they are.

                        • Well they do want to make crucible not ability simulator anymore, but the recharge rate for everything but the class ability is too long even for this. Hopefully they will listen and buff the cooldowns just a little bit to have more than two grenades per match.

                          Has anyone thought that maybe our supers charge slow because of our lost traveller? We lost our light, so therefore, our supers would take extra long to charge due to our lost connection. In theory, there are still remnants of that light within us as guardians, which is why we're still able to use supers and abilities. Maybe, once we play through the game and complete all the missions, we'll have restored the Traveller and gained access to the vast well of light, further igniting our supers. Or maybe I'm just hopeful and delusional, either way, still preordered!
