From what it looks, the map seems to be large enough. If all the other planets are as big or bigger I may be satisfied with the free roaming side of the game, so long as their isn't any giant empty spaces anyways, like the ones on the moon and mars for example. I hate those areas, they make me cry.

Agreed. Maps can be too big. More isn't always better. Horizon Zero Dawn was about as big an open-world map as I care to move around in. Mass Effect: Andromeda was actually too big. It got to the point where is simply took too long and was too annoying getting from want place to another by actually moving through the world. So by the end of the game I was fast-travelling wherever possible.
