  • Pretty sure the guy in the video said, when you're in the beta, try shooting a nova and see what happens.

  • So most likely, shooting it, by friend or enemy will detonate it

  • The very first guy to speak says: "We were told that you can actually shoot the Nova Bomb and stop it." Now, the next people say that it breaks into parts, but the fact that the first person says it is in order to stop the nova bomb suggests that the person shooting would WANT to stop it, so it is much more likely that we're talking about an opponent. Especially considering no ally would want to shoot it, and the warlock themselves wouldn't want to shoot it. Now, the LAST part that is said is that A) they didn't actually get around to trying it, and admittedly B) "try shooting your nova", but considering everything else that was said, this was likely misspoken, and the person meant try shooting nova bombs, not your OWN nova bombs. So no, I don't think I misheard it at all. Especially considering that we've been told all supers are supposed to be weak to energy weapons, and because it isn't a roaming super (so shooting the voidwalker themselves would be useless) then it makes the most sense that opponents should be shooting the nova bomb.

  • Well from an interview that I heard it sounded like you were able to cast your nova bomb and at any point before impact you could shatter it but it doesn't matter I'm sure we'll find out in the beta

We might. It might also be a perk in the second subclass tree (which we're told we won't get for at least Gunslinger, Striker, and Voidwalker, and maybe the other 3 as well). And if it just reads, "Nova Bomb can be split into smaller charges that explode on impact," then we won't know for sure. The point of the post though is that this is the way it makes most sense. All supers have to be weaker to energy weapons, and a fast-moving Nova Bomb would not present much opportunity for other guardians to damage it. So it being weak to energy weapons would not do much, unless either A) its health pool was minimal or B) it moved slower. So now we can see WHY it moves slower. Would you have a theory as to another reason it would move slower? Also, would you be able to track down and provide links to this other interview you heard? As it stands, I've provided links so that there is actual evidence behind my reasoning, not just hearsay. I would appreciate a look at the same interview you have seen. = )
