Anyone else see how all nades look pretty useless.

  • Nades are now meant to complement gun skill. And if your taking about the nova bomb gameplay, he/she missed EVERY grenade. Yes, they are weaker than d1, but that doesn't make them weak.

  • A titan set off a tripmine and was fine. I mean if ths grenades do like one hand cannon shot of damage why even use them? Fusions are the highest damage grenade and they do like one third of your health off. Pretty pointless. The Nerf babies won.

  • Titans are alwayyyyysss fine after tripmine encounters. Usually they skate right through mine with minimal damage taken.

The "nerf babies" didn't win. Grenades in D1 are too powerful and you get em back in 25 seconds with tier 5 DIS. Good to see Bungie focusing more on actual gun skill in D2

  • I can see what you mean. Bungie wants to push the competitive side of the game. What's competitive about a game where you can chuck something in the general direction of a opponent, have it lock on to him FOR YOU, and get free kills? They want gun battles and teamwork. Grenades are most likely going to be used to damage groups of enemies. Then, you can finish them off.

  • Again we saw a titan run into and take damage from a grenade full force. He didn't have to retreat or get his life back or anything. How is this tactical? You can essentially ignore an entire type of damage. I would have accepted what you saod of grenades were just toned down. Such a fusion taking out 70% of your health so you have to retreat if you get stuck. I am only mentioning these two types because they are the highest damage type and need to aim them the most. If they are this bad then I guess you can really set up shop and live in the other grenades. Grenades provided a different aspect to the game than just guns like any other shooter.

  • We haven't seen many grenades so far. Some could still deal considerable damage. And if they don't, bungie could buff them for the final game.
