2 complaints. 1.
MJ was changed to Michelle (wtf?), she wasn't a redhead, and she was super edgy for no reason.
And 2.
Flash Thompson was changed to an Indian guy. Why?
Other than those, I thought it was pretty solid. May's acting could have been better.
Also, did anyone else peep the Miles Morales Easter Egg? Donald Glover says
I don't want these weapons here either. I have a nephew in that neighborhood.
I give it a 91 out of 100.

Speaking with IGN, Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Sony’s Amy Pascal commented on the actress’ role following the film’s premiere. When asked how the character twist came about, the president of Marvel Studios said the ‘twist’ was really meant to be more of an homage. She's not Mary Jane Watson. She never was Mary Jane Watson. She was always this new high school character, Michelle, who we know there's an "M" in Michelle and an "M" in Mary. [laughs] So we're so clever and we thought, "Wouldn't it be neat if her initials were MJ?" And then I think it leaked that she would be playing MJ and then it became a whole headache for Zendaya to have to navigate,” Feige revealed. “It was never a big, "Oh my God, it's a big reveal!" There are big reveals in the movie. That's not one of them.” “She is not going to end as being Mary Jane Watson,” Pascal added, confirming Michelle is a character in her own right.

That was stupid. Now, if they actually do Mary Jane, it will be a second MJ.
-
Yeah i thought the name change was pretty dumb. I still liked the new approach they're taking with her character. Flash being Indian (and smart) just flat out through me off. If they do Venom in the future and he's the second venom it'll judt seem weird.
-
Indian Flash was nice to see. Indian actors in good movies are pretty rare and I liked the new personality of Flash. Idk I'm kinda biased.
-
MJ stands for Michelle Jones, not Mary Jane. They pulled a cheeky move but yeah
-
Mentioning Glover, I'm so confused as to why he'd take such a stereotypical and pointless character
-
I cringed when they said "he has a criminal record." I said to myself "of course he does."
-
Well he's playing a guy who's a criminal called the Prowler in the comics
-
He's a very small time criminal in the comics. He even gives up crime after being caught by Spider-Man the first time.
-
A criminal mastermind was just reduced to a small time crook that speaks like he doesn't have any education....and Donald Glover of all people took the role. For Donald, who doesn't like stereotypes of black people, it feels out of place for him and Marvel
-
Idk I kinda liked how he at least had some heart and decency and helped out the hero. He's a criminal but he still wants to protect his family. I get where your coming from though. Being a black guy myself it would be nice to see some more upstanding black citizens. That twist with vulture was quite the play on expectations tho

For complaint 1
I didn't like the MJ change. Having an edgy wise-ass was a nice addition, it just shouldn't have been MJ.
-
She could have cut down a tree with all that edge omg. "I come to detention to sketch people in crisis." WTF?
-
It's a nice character addition, but it's just not who she should be.
-
I want the "Hey Tiger" MJ, not this edge queen.
-
EXACTLY!!! I couldn't have put it better!
-
Complaint 1:
They combined MJ and another character from the comics that Peter dated named Michelle. I really like this choice, to be honest.
Complaint 2:
His race was never important to his character, so I think it's fine.
I loved the Morales easter egg!
-
The only race change I liked was
Shocker, because the original one got rekt lol.
