I dunno how I feel about locked loadouts as an idea...
Personally, I still liked OG nightfalls where (especially solo) you had to optimize what weapons you had for different parts of that Strike. But even on a newer one like on the Super Shank strike, where you have to go to the WARSAT for a minute, I always end up needing one of my swords in order to solo that portion, but the sword is useless after that. So... I dunno how much 'harder' it'll make the game in terms of actual difficulty and not artificial user restraint.
And the other thing is that if it does go into bigger events like a raid (I hope not) the overwhelming screening 'who has what' will be leagues above what we saw with the forums raving about YOU MUST HAVE GHALLY, MUST OWN ALL SHADERS, HAVE NO LESS THAN 150 HEAVY SYNTH ON YOUR PERSON, etc...
Especially since what you bring is all you got. Just not a good idea in my opinion.
An optional feature? Sure, for something like custom strikes/raids would be cool. But not for actual events where others are dependent on someone else's choices of weapons. I dunno... just seems like a hard idea to make work.

Yeah I'm with you here. I'm actually really looking forward to D2 and willing to give Bungie the benefit of the doubt and take whatever it is they throw at us. But as the weeks have passed us by, we seem to be getting drip fed more and more info on what they've added, changed and taken away and I'm actually getting a little worried by some of the shit they're pulling. Locked loadouts seems like a really -blam!-ing dumb idea to me, time will tell, but the static rolls on ALL guns is the one that might kill it for me... no more grinding for the same gun to get that God roll that very few others might have – if they're all going to be the same, they're taking away the weapon diversity and our choice to use whatever it is we choose... that's pretty shitty

We want you to enjoy destiny and you can do that best by playing our way. - Bungie Locked load outs = play our way. Let's make the game artificially more challenging by hand cuffing user choice. I don't understand a decision like that.

It's not for all mission....... locked load outs is perfect i like thats choose your load outs carefully. ''It's more challenging to solo this content. like that.

I know it isn't for all missions as others are obviously missing. But from my perspective it is a cheap way of adding challenge. Lazy one might say, just as is dummbing down the entire game so that it will play smoother on their defective engine and to placate the pvp community.

Theres a good chance its aimed at specialization in group endgame to make simplistic content seem deeper. Added bonus of stopping solo runs or make them next to impossible.
